LG recommends having your LG G2 battery repaired or replaced by an LG service center or an LG authorized repair center. However, you can remove the battery from your device yourself as long as you have the necessary tools, such as an ejector for the SIM card and a prying tool.
Step

Step 1. Use the SIM card ejector tool to press the small hole located on the right side of your SIM card tray
This tray will exit automatically from your LG G2.
Use the end of a paper clip or safety pin to press into the hole if you don't have a SIM card ejector

Step 2. Pull the SIM card tray completely away from your phone and set it aside

Step 3. Slide your thumb nail into the empty SIM card tray and use a prying tool to gently remove the back cover of your LG G2

Step 4. Continue tucking the prying tool around the entire side of the device until the back cover is completely separated from the phone

Step 5. Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove all the screws located on the edges of the phone

Step 6. Pry gently with a prying tool and remove the two black covers covering the top of the battery

Step 7. Use a prying tool to lift the silver panel connectors covering the gold panels on both sides of the battery
Do it slowly.

Step 8. Use tweezers to remove and peel off the adhesive strip over the long gold panels
Do it carefully.

Step 9. Lift up the gold panels so you can access the battery underneath

Step 10. Use a pry tool to remove the battery connector from the circuit board
The battery connector is located on the panel above the top-left corner of the battery.
