This wikiHow teaches you how to disable the two-step verification feature on Samsung and Google accounts on a Samsung Galaxy phone or tablet.

Method 1 of 2: Disabling Two-Step Verification for Samsung Accounts
Step 1. Open the device settings menu
Drag the notification panel at the top of the screen downwards, then tap the gear icon.
Step 2. Touch Cloud and accounts
It's a lock icon at the top of the menu.
Step 3. Touch My Profile
Step 4. Select MANAGE SAMSUNG ACCOUNT
It's at the top of the screen, below the email address.
Step 5. Enter password or confirm fingerprint
Once verified, you will be logged into your account.
Step 6. Touch the Security tab
This tab is at the top of the screen.
Step 7. Touch Turn off under “2-step verification”
It's in the center of the screen. A confirmation message will be displayed reminding you that the action taken will weaken the device's security system.
Step 8. Touch Confirm
The two-step verification feature has now been turned off.
Method 2 of 2: Disabling Two-Step Verification for Google Accounts
Step 1. Open the device settings menu
Drag the notification panel at the top of the screen downwards, then tap the gear icon.
Step 2. Touch Google
This icon is marked by a blue outline that forms the letter “G”.
Step 3. Touch Sign-in & security
This option is at the top of the menu.
Step 4. Touch 2-Step Verification
You will be asked to enter your Google account password.
Step 5. Enter the password and touch NEXT
A verification code will be sent to the email address or phone number stored in your account.
Step 6. Enter the verification code and touch NEXT
If you enable the Google Prompt feature, touch “ YES ” when prompted.
Step 7. Touch TURN OFF
This option is at the top of the screen. A confirmation message will be displayed reminding you that deactivating the two-step verification feature will void any additional security on your account.
Step 8. Touch TURN OFF to confirm
The two-step verification feature has now been disabled for your Google account.
