Adult content on DeviantArt, such as images featuring naked and violent limbs, can only be viewed by members who are at least 18 years of age. If the age listed on your account is over 18 years old, but you still can't view adult content, you must enable this feature in the DeviantArt app on Android or on the DeviantArt.com website. If you are under 18 and have your real birthday on your account, you may need to create a new account with a fake birth date. Method 1 of 3: Open DeviantArt.com in a Browser
Step 1. Open https://www.deviantart.com in your browser
You can use any browser on your computer, phone or tablet to access DeviantArt. If you are not logged in yet, click the "LOG IN" button at the top right of the page to do so.
- Note that the DeviantArt app on iPhone and iPad does not provide an option that allows you to view adult content. This is due to the provisions that apply in the App Store.
- If the date of birth entered when creating your account indicates that you are under the age of 18, the option to display adult content will not be available. The only way to bypass the adult content filter is to create a new account with a birthday date indicating that you are 18 years of age or older. Check out this method to find out how.
Step 2. Click or tap the profile picture
The profile picture is at the top right of the page. If you haven't put a profile picture on your account, click or tap the image that looks like a silhouette of a person.
Step 3. Click or tap the circle to the right of the "Display Mature Content" option
This option is at the bottom of the menu. This will tick the circle and allow you to view adult content on DeviantArt.
Method 2 of 3: Using DeviantArt App on Android
Step 1. Open DeviantArt app on your Android device
The app icon is a green "z" in front of a black box with a green line crossing it.
- If you are not logged into your account, tap the button LOG IN located at the top right of the screen. Enter the username and password to log into the account. If the date of birth listed on your account indicates that you are not yet 18 years old, please refer to the Create a New Account method to View Adult Content.
- Note that the DeviantArt app on iPhone and iPad does not provide an option that allows you to view adult content. This is due to the provisions that apply in the App Store. Check out these methods to enable adult content in your browser.
Step 2. Tap the profile picture
The profile picture is at the top right of the app screen. If you haven't put a profile picture on your account, tap the image that looks like a silhouette of a person.
Step 3. Tap the gear icon
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Step 4. Tap the button that is next to the “Display mature content” option
This option is at the bottom of the settings menu. After that, you can view adult content in the DeviantArt app on Android.
Method 3 of 3: Creating a New Account to View Adult Content
Step 1. Open https://www.deviantart.com in your browser
If you can't find the option to enable adult content on the DeviantArt website or Android app, the date of birth listed on your account indicates that you are under 18 years of age. This method will help you create a new account to view adult content. You can create them in any browser on your computer, phone or tablet.
If you're automatically logged into your account when you open the DeviantArt website in your browser, you'll need to sign out first before creating a new account. To do so, click or tap on the profile picture at the top right of the screen and select an option Log Out.
Step 2. Click the profile icon
This icon is a silhouette of a person and is at the top right of the page.
Step 3. Click the JOIN button
It's in the top right of the page.
Step 4. Enter the new username
You can use any username that is not already used by someone else. If you see red text explaining that the username is already in use, create a different username.
Step 5. Enter and confirm the email address
Type your email address into the " Add your email " and " Confirm email " fields. Make sure the email address is still accessible as you will need to confirm your account by opening the email sent by DeviantArt.
Step 6. Create a password
Make sure you enter a strong password consisting of letters, numbers, and special characters.
Step 7. Choose a date of birth that indicates you are 18 years or older
Click the " Month, " " Day," and " Year " columns to select a date of birth. You can choose any date of birth as DeviantArt cannot confirm whether the date entered is correct or not.
Step 8. Click or tap the JOIN button
It's at the bottom of the page. Clicking on it will send an email containing a confirmation request to your email address.
Step 9. Open the email containing the confirmation request
Look for the email sent by DeviantArt. You may have to look for it in the "Social" (Social), "Promotion" (Promotion), "Junk" or "Spam" categories in Gmail to find it.
If you can't find it, click the " RESEND EMAIL " option on the " Welcome to DeviantArt " page to resend the verification email
Step 10. Click the CONFIRM MY EMAIL button
Clicking on it will open the account login page. You will need to log back into the account with the username and password you created.
Step 11. Sign in to the new account
Signing in to your account will validate your email address and allow you to change settings, including enabling adult content on DeviantArt.

The profile picture is at the top right of the page. If you haven't put a profile picture on your account, click the image that looks like a silhouette of a person.
Step 13. Click the circle to the right of the "Display Mature Content" option
This option is at the bottom of the menu. Clicking on it will bring up adult content in DeviantArt.
