Yeezy, which is a collaboration between Adidas and Kanye West, is one of the most popular shoe brands in the world. Sneaker fans all over the world admire this product. If you have Yeezy shoes, you probably spent a lot of money on them. Of course, you want the shoe to stay looking clean and attractive for as long as possible. Fortunately, there are several ways to protect and clean your Yeezy to make it look like new.
Step
Method 1 of 3: Rubbing Shoes
Step 1. Take the tongue out and remove the laces
Be careful when removing the tongue of the shoe so as not to damage it. You should remove the laces slowly so that the holes are not damaged or torn.
Place the tongue and laces in a safe and secure place so they don't get damaged when you clean the rest of the shoe
Step 2. Make a solution of a mixture of water and vinegar
Pour the water and vinegar in a 1:2 ratio into a small cup and use a spoon to stir. You can use a special shoe cleaner in place of the water and vinegar mixture if you prefer.
Specialty shoe cleaners can be purchased online or at your nearest shoe store
Step 3. Dip a coarse-bristled brush in the solution and scrub your shoes
The sole of the shoe is usually the dirtiest part. So you need to scrub it a bit hard to get rid of the dirt. No need to be afraid to rub too hard because the sole of this shoe is very strong.
- Do not brush the stitching and knitting of the shoe.
- You can use a cloth or rag instead of a coarse-bristled brush. However, they are not as effective as brushes.
- Dip the brush in the solution frequently to make sure you're not just rubbing the bristles against the sole of your shoe.
Step 4. Use a damp cloth to wipe the soles
When you're done brushing, soak a clean washcloth in the water. Wipe the entire sole to remove dirt. Also wipe the side to keep it clean.
Don't forget to clean the Boost holes when cleaning Yeezy shoes. Boost is a small triangular hole in the sole of the shoe that is often a nest of dust and dirt
Step 5. Brush the shoe body with a damp soft-bristled brush
You just need to dip the bristles in water for this process. Insert one hand into the shoe to hold it in place. After that, dip the brush in the water and gently rub the entire shoe, starting from the heel to the toe. Don't forget to dip the brush as often as possible to keep it clean.
Make sure you don't brush or let water get to the inside of the shoe. The hand that is inserted into the shoe serves as a protection from the water
Step 6. Dry your Yeezy shoes in the shade
Allow time for the shoes to dry after brushing. Leave in a shady place and exposed to the wind.
Do not place Yeezy shoes near heat sources or fireplaces as the material may melt
Method 2 of 3: Cleaning Shoelaces
Step 1. Remove your Yeezy shoelaces
Be careful when removing them so as not to damage the aglet, the plastic that covers the ends of the shoelaces. You also don't want any of the material to peel off. Gently pull the shoelace through each eyelet.
If your laces are damaged or too dirty, buy replacements online or at your nearest shoe store
Step 2. Make a solution of water and dish soap in a 5:1 ratio
You can use any brand of dish soap you have at home. Pour the soap into a bowl, then add the water. The soap must be diluted before this solution is used.
Step 3. Soak the shoelaces in this solution for 20 minutes
To prevent the rope from floating, place a small cup as a weight. You can let the rope sit while it soaks, or rub it to get rid of stubborn stains and dirt.
Step 4. Scrub the laces with a soft-bristled brush after they are finished soaking
Dip the brush in a bowl of water. Gently and gently scrub the laces with the brush. Be careful not to peel the fibers in the rope.
Be careful not to be too rough when cleaning shoelaces to avoid damaging the fibers
Step 5. Hang the rope to dry
After brushing the shoelaces, hang the laces to dry. Do not place it near a heater or in direct sunlight as this will make the rope hard and rough.
Find a shady place to dry your shoelaces
Step 6. Reattach your Yeezy laces
When attaching shoelaces, be careful not to damage the aglet or the holes. Once the straps are reattached, the Yeezy is ready to wear and looks like new.
Method 3 of 3: Using the Washing Machine to Clean Yeezy Shoes
Step 1. Remove the tongue and shoelaces
Be careful when removing the shoelace and tongue so as not to damage it. Gently untie the shoelaces, then place them in a safe place.
You should make sure the tongue is removed before cleaning the Yeezy in the washing machine. The inside of the shoe will dry more easily if the tongue is removed
Step 2. First clean the dirt and dust from the Yeezy
You don't want dirt or other hazardous materials to go into the washing machine with your shoes. Use a damp cloth to wipe off any dirt that has stuck to it.
Wipe the sole and Boost holes to remove any invisible dirt
Step 3. Place each Yeezy shoe in a pillowcase
The color of the pillowcase used must match the color of your shoes. Use a white pillowcase for a brightly colored Yeezy. Use a black pillowcase for dark shoes.
You can tie the ends of the pillowcases to make sure the Yeezy doesn't come out in the wash
Step 4. Pour a small amount of cleaning detergent into the washing machine
Use half the amount you can use for normal washing. You're just washing a pair of shoes, not a pile of dirty clothes.
Step 5. Turn on the washing machine on the coldest setting
You should not use temperatures higher than 30 °C. Too high a temperature can melt the glue and primeknit material on the shoe. Heat can also damage other parts of the shoe.
Step 6. Dry the shoes for 24 hours
Take the pillowcase out of the washing machine and get the Yeezy shoes inside. Leave the shoes for at least 1 day to dry. Place it in a dry place that gets plenty of air to dry completely. Once the Yeezy is dry, put the tongue and laces back on.
