Some boots, such as cowboy boots, provide a tight fit for the feet. This usually means that the shoes have been adapted to your feet to allow you to walk comfortably. This also means that the shoes will be difficult to put on. Some boots need to be properly strapped to fit the foot, which is important if you plan on going for long walks or hiking. Wearing the right socks has a significant effect, which also affects comfort. Grab the boot laces, pull up, and keep reading for tips on how to easily insert your foot into your shoe.
Step
Method 1 of 3: Wearing Cowboy Bots
Step 1. Put on boots socks
The right socks can make it easier for you to wear cowboy boots. Wear calf-length striped athletic socks or boots. The material of the sock will help move the foot into the boot with the aid of body weight.
Step 2. Sit on a bench or chair
You can slip your heels into cowboy boots easily if you're sitting down. Sit on the side of the bed as long as your feet can fully touch the floor.
Step 3. Use the bot towing rope
Most cowboy boots have drawstrings that are placed on the sides and top of the shoe. Slide the index finger from the front with the tip pointing back. Open the top as wide as you are holding the drawstring. If the shoe does not have a drawstring, grasp the side of the shoe with your hand.
Step 4. Place the foot on the top of the boot
Pull the bot up by pulling the rope. It may be that the shoe pulls up easily, or it may get stuck before the ankle is flush with the heel.
Step 5. Stand up and place your heels on the floor
While still holding the drawstring in your hands, use your body weight to press down on your feet as you pull the boots up. Now your feet will snap into place.
Method 2 of 3: Wearing Strappy Bots
Step 1. Put the shoelace in the bottom hole
Start by attaching the laces to both shoes in the bottom holes. This will help you cross the laces with moderate to high pressure, depending on how comfortable you are in wearing the boots.
Step 2. Begin threading the rope in the bottom hole
To relieve pressure on the bottom of the boot, start threading the rope from the top of the bottom hole. The laces must be installed sequentially starting from the bottom of the shoe.
Step 3. Attach the ropes crosswise
Besides being commonly used, this criss-cross technique is also the most comfortable to apply to boots. After inserting the rope in the first hole, continue to thread the rope crosswise through the holes.
Step 4. Loosen the rope from top to bottom
To make it easier for you to put on your boots and not interfere with your strapping, loosen the straps starting at the top. At first, just loosen a few straps at the top. Check to see if your foot can continue into the shoe. If you can't, loosen 1 or 2 more strings underneath.
Step 5. Wear socks with the right material
Socks made of cotton and polyester make your feet smell very bad when you take them out of your shoes. Wear socks made of wool, or at least ones that contain wool. Avoid socks that are purely cotton, nylon, and polyester.
Step 6. Use your body weight
When the muscles are stretched, you can push your feet into tight boots. Remember to keep the laces snug, at least at the bottom so the boots don't slide around when worn.
Method 3 of 3: Wearing Haiking Boots
Step 1. Put on a sock liner
These socks are worn between boots and regular socks, which can keep the foot from sliding. Look for socks made of wool, but only half the thickness. Choose a synthetic material that can absorb moisture. You can also use silk socks, if none are made of wool.
Step 2. Tighten the shoelaces in a double knot
So that the shoes do not shift when used for walking, or the laces are untied; tie the rope in a double knot. Once you've tied the string and tied it as usual, tie the string back in a butterfly knot.
Step 3. Look for thick socks
You certainly don't want the boot to slide all the time around your feet when you're walking. To prevent this from happening, wear thick socks. Look for socks that are the same thickness as fleece or socks that are made of fleece.
Tips
- Choose boots that contain elastic panels on the top.
- Leather boots will stretch and shape your foot over time, so you should choose a slightly smaller size.
