Being naked is often seen as embarrassing or uncomfortable due to the stigma that surrounds nudists and cultural influences on the perception of nudism. However, many people feel free to be naked. The proof, in some countries there are nudist colonies and nudist beaches. Before having fun while naked, of course, you must first feel comfortable with your own skin.
Step
Method 1 of 4: Respect Yourself
Step 1. Create a routine for self-love
Set up a routine that helps you feel good about your body. This routine can be anything from getting your hair done, taking care of your nails, or wearing something pretty.
- These activities do not have to be body related. Just do activities that make you feel better about yourself. Even better if you do activities that make you appreciate yourself. Taking care of yourself will be quite helpful.
- Wearing clothes that make you feel good about yourself can boost your self-confidence. If you don't feel good about getting dressed, it will be even more difficult to take it off.
- Do this routine as often as possible. To build confidence, repeat the routine at least once a week to determine the best time or day to pamper yourself.
- If the routine you want to choose is a walk in the park or a swim, go for it. Go where you feel confident and/or comfortable.
Step 2. Eat healthy foods
Eating healthy foods is very powerful in making you appreciate and pamper yourself. A healthy diet will remind you that your body needs to be supplied with “good fuel” in order to function properly and look good.
- It's hard to appreciate the body if you think about the donuts you've eaten, or if you count all the excess calories you've consumed. This will make you feel uncomfortable or guilty, which will reduce the confidence needed to be comfortable naked.
- Don't feel guilty about the food you eat. If you want to eat, don't count calories and think about it over and over again. Your trust can be seriously damaged by it.
- Eat healthy food as a reminder for you to appreciate the skin you have. Food itself is a reminder that the body needs to be properly nourished and cared for.
- If you are already on a healthy diet or diet program, don't overdo it. Have an occasional evening snack if you're feeling stressed from overeating. Even though you want to be healthy, there is also something called “being too healthy”.
Step 3. Praise yourself
Instead of constantly feeling inferior, praise yourself. The confidence to have fun naked comes with being non-judgmental and self-deprecating.
- In the process of respecting yourself comes the responsibility of not doing things like criticizing yourself. Don't stand in front of the mirror and look for things you don't like.
- Decide on a few things about yourself that you like. Write down if necessary. Take advantage of this quality to fight negative thoughts that may arise regarding yourself and your body. For example, if you think negatively about yourself, counter it with one positive comment you already know. So counter the comment “I don't like my arms” with “Both my legs look good”.
Method 2 of 4: Feel Good in Your Own Body
Step 1. Move your body
Any type of physical exercise such as running, dancing or yoga will help build confidence.
- Choose an activity that you enjoy. Football, walking, karate, swimming and dancing can all help you have fun by moving your body.
- Physical activity shapes and strengthens the body. Whatever physical activity you choose will do double duty for fun and body shaping.
- Exercise or physical activity slowly helps you feel more confident in your own body. This will help when you are naked. The main goal is not to lose weight but to gain confidence through body movement.
- Stay hydrated if you want to do regular or extreme exercise. If you are not hydrated, you will be tired all day and also out of breath for people with asthma.
Step 2. Pamper your body
Get a massage or facial. By pampering your body, it means that you value and love your body, which will make it easier to incorporate some of the previous steps like moving your body and eating healthy foods.
- Pampering the body can be done by simply soaking for a long time instead of taking a regular bath. Add a little sea salt or flower petals to the water.
- Dressing up activities such as shaving, combing hair, and applying lotion to the body are also activities of pampering and respecting one's own body. These activities build a sense of gratitude for the body that is free from the restraints of fabrics such as clothing, shoes, and jewelry.
Step 3. Get naked at home
If you feel comfortable being naked at home, it will be easier to get naked and have fun in front of other people. To be comfortable naked in front of the world, you need to feel comfortable naked at home first.
- Stand in front of a mirror naked to appreciate the body, not criticize it. This method also makes you accustomed to seeing yourself naked. If you don't feel comfortable seeing your own naked body, you will also feel uncomfortable when other people see you naked.
- Do activities at home while naked. Dance, read a book, do your hair, you can do anything as long as it's comfortable to do when you're naked.
- If you're not feeling fully naked yet, put on some underwear and slowly get used to it. There are many types of underwear to choose from so find the one that makes you feel most comfortable and sexy.
- Start incorporating nudism into your daily activities even when you're outside. For example, try not to wear underwear or bras.
Step 4. Start doing activities that are usually done naked
Daily activities such as calling other people will not feel strange after a few times. What's more, you can enjoy your little secret fun.
Step 5. Make the sandwich while naked
Food and nudes usually don't go well together, but now you can combine the two. However, be careful when cooking naked. Wear an apron to protect yourself.
Step 6. Watch television naked
Choose your favorite chair or your favorite spot on the sofa. Take off your clothes. Turn on the television and sit naked.
Step 7. Walk naked in the house
Close the curtains or curtains to make sure you're not visible from the outside. Indonesia has laws regarding the exposure of human body parts.
Step 8. Sleep naked
If you usually sleep in your clothes, try something new. Take off all your clothes. It will feel weird at first, but stick with it. Over time, you may like the touch of the sheets against your skin.
Method 3 of 4: Getting Used to Nudity
Once you're comfortable with your nudity, you can begin to get used to it in public situations.
Step 1. Visit a Finnish, Turkish, or Korean spa
Most Korean spas have a gender-specific nude area, which means you can get naked without being confined to a certain area. So, in the men's area, men are free to be naked, and so are women. Just make sure the spa in question does have this area.
- Inside this area there is a sauna, bathing area, and dressing area. So you can slowly get used to being naked in front of other people.
- If you're still not completely comfortable, use a small towel to cover some of your body. Usually, spas also provide uniforms to wear.
- Come with friends so you have someone to chat with. This way, you may feel more comfortable. Some people prefer to start with only strangers.
- Find activities. Bathe or dress yourself up at the spa, and don't focus too much on nudity.
- While there, try to get a massage. This will help relieve your nudity and back.
Step 2. Get naked in front of people who support you
If you have a spouse or friend or family member who is supportive of you, be naked in their presence, but only if they feel comfortable seeing you naked.
- If you feel comfortable around your life partner, of course you will be more comfortable during sex or other sexual activities.
- Being naked in front of people who support you also helps you build confidence and put aside all fears. No one will shock, embarrass, or laugh at you, which is some people's biggest fear.
- Nude massage, for example, is one way to acclimatize yourself to being naked in front of other people. Usually, the area that is not massaged is covered with a towel so that you still feel covered.
Method 4 of 4: Familiarizing Yourself with Public Nudity
Step 1. Go nude swimming with a supportive friend or partner
The water will partially block the view of your naked body so you can get used to being naked and having fun while you do it.
To be more comfortable, if you are still hesitant to show skin, wear a very small bikini and skin color or clear
Step 2. Go to a nudist beach
Since everyone will be naked, you may feel more comfortable without clothes. Nudist beaches provide opportunities to walk naked in front of strangers, swim naked, and play volleyball or frisbee without clothes on.
Step 3. Do naked yoga
Typically, these yoga classes are segregated by gender and are designed to help everyone feel comfortable in the nude regardless of their size and shape.
Step 4. Run naked
This cannot be applied in Indonesia, but in Denmark, there is an event called the Roskilde Festival where about 30 runners run around the festival area naked.
Step 5. Join a nudist group or colony
If you really like being naked, you may want to do it more often. This group should contain people who also like nudity and have fun being naked.
