Step
Method 1 of 3: Baked Mozzarella Sticks
Step 1. Place 24 sticks of mozzarella in the freezer
Freeze until firm; This step is very important to keep the cheese intact while baking.
Step 2. Prepare the layers
For each of these ingredients, use a bowl with a wide opening for easy dipping.
- Beat the eggs in a small bowl.
- Combine breadcrumbs, panko crumbs, Parmesan cheese and parsley together in another bowl.
- Pour the flour into another bowl.
Step 3. Remove the mozzarella sticks from the freezer
In the next steps, you will dip the stick into each layer. Before dipping, line the cake pan with parchment paper for the sticks.
Step 4. Dip the sticks into the flour first
Make sure that each stick is evenly coated in flour.
Step 5. Dip the floured mozzarella sticks into the beaten egg mixture
Step 6. Finish by dipping the sticks in the breadcrumb mixture
Again, make sure each stick is properly wrapped. Lay each stick on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 7. Place the pan containing the sticks back into the freezer
Let it freeze. If you skip this step, the sticks may fall apart during baking.
Step 8. Preheat oven to 400 F or 200 C
Step 9. Spray the frozen sticks with oil
make sure the sticks don't touch, then pop them in the oven to bake. Bake for 5 minutes, then check the level of crispness. Flip the sticks of a pair of tongs to fry for 4-5 minutes on the other side.
Step 10. Remove from heat once the sticks are crisp
Do not leave the sticks unattended or in the oven for too long, as they may melt into lumps. The sticks are ready to serve.
- Serve with an appropriate sauce, such as sweet chili sauce, pizza sauce or tomato sauce.
- For a party dish, arrange the dish in a circle around the plate, placing the gravy in the center. For best taste, serve immediately after baking.
Method 2 of 3: Deep Fried Mozzarella Sticks
Step 1. Make sticks from mozzarella cheese
Cut about 3/4 inch x 3/4 inch (2 cm x 2 cm).
Step 2. Make a layer of dough
Crack the eggs into a bowl and add the milk. Shake.
Step 3. Pour the flour into a bowl
Pour the breadcrumbs into another bowl.
Step 4. Dip the cheese sticks into the flour
Wrap it thoroughly.
Step 5. Dip the flour sticks into the egg mixture
Wrap it thoroughly.
Step 6. Roll the egg-covered sticks in the breadcrumbs
At this point, you may need to add eggs or breadcrumbs--determine yourself when making it.
Step 7. Place the wrapped sticks on wax or parchment paper to prevent sticking
Repeat for all sticks.
Step 8. Heat the oil in a frying pan or deep pot
While the oil is hot, fry 2 to 3 sticks at a time. (Don't overcrowd so the sticks don't burn). Fry until the steaks turn golden, about a minute each side.
Step 9. Remove from oil using tongs
Place it on a paper kitchen towel to drain some of the fat.
Step 10. Serve
Add sauces such as sweet chilies, pizza sauce or tomatoes.

Step 3. Repeat this step for each mozzarella stick
Arrange on a large plate for frying.
Step 4. Heat the oil in a wok or heavy saucepan until hot
Add enough oil to cover the sticks.
