Seeing a large oil stain on the surface of your parking lot is annoying. You have to repair the car and clean up the oil spills! Below are some ways to work around this.

Method 1 of 2: Using Cat Sand
Step 1. Use a proven method
Cat litter works well for cats and concrete because of its highly absorbent nature.
Step 2. Choose the cheapest one
Don't use the expensive, clumpy type. Choose the inexpensive type as this is the most absorbent type.
Step 3. Spread the sand
Use plenty of sand and cover all surfaces that are exposed to oil.
Step 4. Be patient
Wait a minute and let the sand do its work. If the stain is light, wait 10 to 15 minutes. If it spills a lot, leave it on for a few hours or even overnight.
Step 5. Crush the sand
Using your soiled shoes, crumble the sand over the oil-affected surface. Crush and grind the sand in the oil affected area. It will work like a brush. When finished, sweep and remove the dirty sand.
Step 6. Scrub the floor surface
Using a concentrated detergent and a brush, scrub the oil-affected area in a circular motion. Scrub the oil-affected area vigorously and also clean the surrounding surface with a gentler scrub. This process will reduce the color difference between the rubbed area and the rest of the area.
Step 7. Rinse and Repeat
When finished scrubbing, rinse off the detergent, and check that the surface is clean.

Follow the instructions for use on how much to use. Smooth on the stained surface. Smooth the boundaries between the stained area and the clean area so that the difference isn't too noticeable.
