With acne affecting so many people, everyone has a best way to treat it, and sometimes it involves your own treatment. If you are looking for a way that will work with your acne, try the following recipes, which have worked for others. Just remember, traditional remedies are not medically valid and may not work for your acne either!
Step
Part 1 of 2: Traditional Medicine
Step 1. Use tree-tea oil
Tree tea oil (oil from a eucalyptus plant) is known as an antifungal and antibacterial herbal remedy, making it great for treating moderate or moderate acne. In a study comparing the properties of tree-tea oil with benzoyl peroxide, tea tree oil was effective in fighting acne and reducing lesions (wounds). Meanwhile, benzoyl peroxide works faster than tea tree oil. Tree tea oil produces fewer side effects for the patient.
Step 2. Make a face mask using a solution of one tablespoon of cold cream derived from crushed aspirin tablets
Apply all over your face, wait 3-5 minutes, then rinse.
Step 3. Use cold water
Fill a 1 gallon jug with water and place it in the freezer for an hour. Pour the water into a bowl, then soak your face in the water for 25 seconds (5 dips for 5 seconds each). Repeat several times each day.
Step 4. Make a strong acne solution by dissolving 50% apple cider vinegar with 50% pure water
As soon as the pimple improves, keep preventing it with a rather moderate solution, consisting of 20% apple cider and 80% water. Don't use cheap vinegar. Apple cider costs around 3$-4$ per bottle or around (Rp 33,000-Rp 44,000) in any supermarket (more can be found in health food stores). Apple cider vinegar lasts for months.
Step 5. Use alum for acne
Potassium alum can usually be found in the spice aisle at some grocery stores. Although widely used as a natural deodorant and styptic (to reduce bleeding after surgery/cuts), alum is a natural antiseptic and astringent; meaning alum shrinks skin tissue.
Try to get alum in the form of large pieces, not in powder form. Alum powder can be a bit too abrasive. Gently apply the alum on the affected area, being careful not to irritate or inflame the pimple
Step 6. Slice a piece of raw potato and apply it on the skin
Cut a raw potato in half and apply it on the pimple. Raw potatoes can heal, as well as act as an anti-inflammatory. Then, gently wash the potato residue from your skin with clean water.
Part 2 of 2: General Tips for Treating Acne
Use a facial cleanser with a balanced pH, for example the optimal pH of 5.5 because this pH will restore the acid mantle and prevent the growth of acne vulgaris
Step 1. Don't try to squeeze or pop your pimple
You're using natural remedies to cure your acne-that's great. Don't waste all your efforts by popping your pimples. The short-term satisfaction may be great, but in the long-term, it's not very good.
- Pimples are bacteria that live in your pores. Cracking the pimple gives the pimple a chance to spread throughout the skin and into the pores and infect them.
- Cracking a pimple causes inflammation and may leave scar tissue. So, if you want the pimple to be a little less visible, resist the urge to pop it. Stop before you start solving it.
Step 2. Wash your face twice a day-no less
Washing your face is a good habit: try washing once in the morning and again at night. However, over-washing your face can cause further irritation and dry out your skin, which is unnecessary. Washing your face over and over will not give you a good solution for treating your acne.
Step 3. Moisturize the skin
Your skin is an organ in your body, just like your kidneys. Like your kidneys, skin needs to be nourished and moisturized to function properly. That's where the moisture comes from. After every time you wash your face, moisturize.
Different skin types require different moisturizers. Cream-based moisturizers may be more effective for dry skin, as they tend to be oily. Gel-based moisturizers are better for oily skin, as they spread more evenly on the skin
Step 4. Use sunscreen
Preferably a sunscreen that doesn't irritate your skin, but still protects you from sun damage. Acne can be made worse by overexposure to the sun and by skin damage from the sun, making this an easy statement. For better looking skin, use sunscreen.
Step 5. Get enough rest and exercise and reduce stress in your life
This may seem unrelated to the quality of your skin, but it actually has a very important relationship with the quality of your skin.
- Doctors don't know exactly why, but stress makes acne worse. When stress is generated in humans, the hormone that regulates sebum (oil glands), which is overproduced by producing acne, also stops working. So find healthy ways to reduce stress in your life and watch your skin get better!
- The more you sleep, the less stress your body experiences. You experience about 15% more stress for every hour of sleep you lose each night. And we just found out that stress causes acne. Then get your bedtime and watch the acne improve.
- Exercising is a healthy way to relieve stress. Easy and simple, stress will be more difficult when we are all exhausted. So join a gym, play an intramural sport, or start running.
Tips
- Don't touch the area with acne or if you have oily skin don't rub it with your fingers, as that spreads oil and dirt, as well as bacteria. Wash your face and drink lots of water.
- Never scratch a drying pimple or the pimple itself; because scratching will leave marks (marks).
- Use aloe vera juice on your skin. Aloe vera is great for your acne because it cools your skin, and reduces oil and redness!
- Don't be discouraged if one way doesn't work. Everyone is different and we have different ways to help ourselves!
- Be patient! Pimples don't go away overnight!
- Use a sunscreen lotion with a minimum SPF of 15 to protect your skin.
- Use a tissue to touch the pimple fluid.
Warning
- Drink lots of water so that your body is not dehydrated.
- Make sure you don't scratch or crack your pimple! You'll end up with scar tissue that makes you look less cool!
- If you constantly touch and push your skin, it will cause the acne-prone skin to be sore, or even scaly and dry. So even if you have to touch it, try to touch as little as possible!
