WhatsApp allows you to cross out text in messages. This is a great way to show emphasis when changing or correcting someone's message. Just insert a tilde sign (~) to cross out the desired text.
Step
Method 1 of 2: On iOS Devices
Step 1. Open WhatsApp
Step 2. Touch CHATS
It's at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3. Touch the chat with the text you want to cross out
Step 4. Touch the text field
This column is at the bottom of the screen. The keyboard will immediately appear on the screen.
Step 5. Type in the message until you reach the piece of text you want to strike out
Step 6. Add the ~ symbol
This symbol is a marker of the beginning of the stroke.
On iOS devices, the “~” symbol can be found by touching the 123 or.?123 keys, followed by pressing the “ #+=" Touch the ~ button. This button is the fourth button from the left in the second row of buttons.
Step 7. Type in the text you want to strike out
Do not insert a space between the “~” symbol and the first letter of the text you want to strike out.
Step 8. Add the “~” symbol again (without the quotes) at the end of the text you want to strike out
After that, the strikethrough marker will end.
Do not insert a space between the last letter of the text and the “~” symbol. The text between the two “~” signs will be displayed with a strikethrough in the text field
Step 9. Continue typing the message as necessary
Step 10. Touch the submit arrow button
The message will be displayed in the chat history. A strikethrough will be added to the selected text, without the “~” symbol on either side of the text.
Method 2 of 2: On Android Device
Step 1. Open WhatsApp
Step 2. Touch CHATS
It's at the top of the screen.
Step 3. Touch the chat with the text you want to cross out
Step 4. Touch the text field
This column is at the bottom of the screen. Once touched, the keyboard will appear on the screen.
Step 5. Type in the message until you reach the piece of text you want to strike out
Step 6. Add the ~ symbol

On Android devices, the “~” symbol can be accessed by touching the Sym button in the lower-left corner of the screen, followed by pressing the 1/2 key. After that, touch the ~ button. This button is the second button from the left in the second row of buttons

Step 8. Add the “~” symbol again (without the quotes) at the end of the text you want to strike out
