Trampolines are things that you can use to use up energy and playing with them is a great way to get some physical activity done. Therefore, it's natural to want to use your newly purchased trampoline immediately, but first, you need to read the installation instructions and check the completeness of the materials. Make sure you have everything you need to set up the trampoline properly. A safe and properly installed trampoline is essential for everyone who wants to jump as high into the air as possible.
Step
Part 1 of 4: Checking the Completeness of Materials
Step 1. Check the sales package
All materials for assembling a trampoline are usually delivered in two or three packages. Empty the contents of each package and make sure you have all the items listed in the installation instructions. One missing piece can prevent the trampoline from being installed properly. So, you should double check all the necessary equipment before starting to assemble the trampoline.
If any part is missing, contact the company that sold it and ask their policy regarding this. Sometimes, they will resend the missing part or replace your trampoline with a new one
Step 2. Arrange each part to be assembled
There are many parts, from large to small, in a trampoline sales package. The assembly process will feel confusing if all the parts are put together. Spread out all the pieces and arrange them according to their function.
Some parts may look similar, but they are used for different purposes
Step 3. Gather your equipment
You don't need a lot of equipment to assemble a trampoline, but just have a few tools handy just in case. You will need a power drill or a Phillips head screwdriver. Most sales packages include a screwdriver. You will also need a rubber mallet and spring puller which is included in the sales package. Also prepare gloves to use when installing the spring.
Your hand can easily get caught in the spring. The gloves will keep your skin from getting caught in them
Part 2 of 4: Assembling the Trampoline Frame
Step 1. Put the rounded pieces together
Put the parts together to form a circular frame to see how big the trampoline will be. After that, start putting all the pieces together until they form a ring. Once installed, the ring should appear flat when placed on the ground.
Step 2. Assemble the legs of the trampoline
Once the rings are formed, start assembling the legs of the trampoline. There should be a special section in the ring frame to attach the object. The legs of the trampoline should be easy to install, but if they don't, you can use a hammer to fix them. However, you should not hammer too hard and should use a mat (such as a towel) to dampen the impact of the hammer.
Step 3. Tighten the screws and bolts
Once the frame is complete, you can tighten the screws and bolts into place. Make sure all the parts are tight and in the right position first. Once tightened, check each piece to make sure everything is secure.
Using an electric drill in the installation process is much faster than using a Phillips screwdriver. Using an ordinary screwdriver will also take a lot of time
Step 4. Turn the trampoline frame upside down
Even if you are strong enough, you may still need someone's help to do this. Find a partner and position yourself on one side of the frame. Gently turn the trampoline frame over until the legs touch the ground. The frame should not sway when you turn it over.
If the frame wobbles, re-examine each section for loose areas. This wobble probably came from the legs. Use a screwdriver or electric drill to tighten the unstable parts
Part 3 of 4: Installing the Mat
Step 1. Attach the spring with a partner
Installing the springs with a partner will make it easier for you to straighten the mattress. You and your partner should hold the same number of springs – four for each person is enough to start with. Go to the other side of the trampoline. Make sure your position with your partner is parallel to each other by counting the number of hooks.
Step 2. Install the springs evenly with your partner
Begin attaching the springs to each latch, then attach the hook to the metal ring. You'll need a spring puller to pull the spring onto the hook, as well as a rubber mallet to push the spring into place once it's attached to the metal ring.
The spring will start to become difficult to attach once it is half attached because the surface of the mat is already tightened
Step 3. Install the protective pad
The protective pads will help to withstand the pressure on the springs. Simply place the bearing on top of the spring. You'll find a number of holes in the bottom of the pad that run parallel to the legs of the trampoline. Protective pads usually have steel hooks, Velcro adhesive, or straps to hold the pads on the trampoline. When you're done installing it, make sure that all of the protective padding is aligned with the springs on the trampoline.
Part 4 of 4: Installing a Barrier Net
Step 1. Install the bungee loop
Not all trampolines are equipped with a barrier net, but you can purchase one with the purchase of the trampoline. First of all, take the limiting net and bungee loop. Bungee loops are usually shaped like rubber bands. Attach the object to the net.
- This object will keep the net safe when the trampoline is used for jumping.
- Some countries require the use of a barrier net on trampolines.
Step 2. Connect and secure the posts
Pole net usually consists of many parts. Connect the parts and cover with foam. Once the posts are connected, use a screwdriver or drill to tighten the screws or bolts, whichever you get in the sales package.
Step 3. Attach the hook
Each bungee loop has a hook. Attach each hook to the hole above the posts. After that, lift the posts one by one and place them into the O-shaped ring on the dividing net.
Step 4. Test your finished trampoline
Check all the parts again to make sure the trampoline is safe to use. After that, get on the trampoline and jump a few times to ensure stability. If it is stable, it means that your trampoline is finished and ready to use.
- If the trampoline still feels unstable, check for parts that appear to be not tightened properly. Use a screwdriver or electric drill to tighten the parts. Contact the seller of the trampoline you purchased if this does not resolve the issue. Don't jump on it until this problem is fixed.
- Brazing the trampoline into the ground is a good idea. This will prevent the trampoline from shifting due to strong winds or pressure from the jump.
Tips
- Never use a trampoline with a missing spring. You may fall from a torn or injured mat. If any springs are missing, contact the seller of the trampoline you purchased.
- If you have trouble putting together a trampoline, have a handyman do it for you.
