The average female fly has a life span of about 30 days, but during this time a fly can produce about 500 eggs. Therefore, a few female flies roaming around the terrace can produce thousands of flies in a short time. Because flies seek food from garbage and feces (feces), these insects can spread disease. - Some people believe that flies can be chased away by hanging shiny objects around the yard. This doesn't really work, but you can try hanging pieces of aluminum foil or anything that reflects light, near your patio or garden.
- Flies also have a place in the ecosystem so it would be better if you don't eradicate them completely. In addition to wasps and bees, flies also play a role in pollinating plants and flowers. Flies also help control other insect pests.
- By removing material that could be used to breed larvae, you will break the fly's life cycle and prevent the appearance of adults. While chemical pesticides can be effective in suppressing adult fly populations under certain conditions, they are no substitute for proper sanitation methods and the destruction of fly breeding grounds. Flies quickly develop immunity to insecticides, and now house flies are resistant to the pesticides that were once effective against flies.
