Nasi goreng is a delicacy and is traditionally made from fried rice in a frying pan or frying pan. - 1 1/2 tablespoons peanut oil
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 3 cloves of crushed garlic
- 2 teaspoons crushed ginger
- Cooked minced meat
- 1 cup brown rice
- 1/4 low sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
Indonesian Fried Rice
- 1 1/2 cups white rice
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 3/4 cups low-sodium chicken stock
- 1 liter and 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 8 prawn crackers
- 2 cups thinly sliced red onion
- 2 cloves of minced garlic
- 1/4 kg skinless chicken breast
- 1/2 kg of medium size prawns
- 2 crushed cayenne pepper
- 1 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 4 scallions thinly sliced
Step
Method 1 of 4: Simple Fried Rice
Step 1. Cook 4 cups of white rice
Put the rice in boiling water and cook until done. Some types of rice take about 10 minutes and some types of rice take up to 30 minutes to cook. You can also cook rice in the microwave or rice cooker, but it won't taste as good.
Step 2. Prepare the vegetables
First, wash 2 cups of carrots, 1 onion, 1 clove of garlic, one stick of ginger, and 1 cup of bean sprouts. Then chop the carrots and onions, and puree 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger. Set these ingredients aside.
Step 3. Pour 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil into a large frying pan
The frying pan you use should be deep enough, like a frying pan, use medium heat.
Step 4. Cook the vegetables in the frying pan for 3 minutes
Add the carrots, onions, garlic and ginger to the frying pan. Add 1 teaspoon salt and a little black pepper. The vegetables will be a little soft but don't let them turn brown.
Step 5. Put 1/4 kg of cooked chicken into the frying pan
You can use the chicken you cooked for another meal yesterday, or buy the cooked chicken, or prepare a special chicken to make fried rice in advance. Cut the chicken into thin strips and add to the frying pan.
Step 6. Put 2 tablespoons of sesame oil in a frying pan

Step 7. Add three eggs to the frying pan
Crack the eggs, put them in a bowl, and beat them first. Then put this beaten egg into the frying pan.
Step 8. Put the rice in the frying pan
Fry the rice and other ingredients for 2-3 minutes, until the rice is hot and the ingredients are evenly mixed. Add 3 tablespoons of soy sauce to the rice mixture and fry everything for another 30 seconds. Then, remove the frying pan from the stove.
Step 9. Serve
Place the rice on a plate and garnish with sliced scallions. Enjoy this fried rice as a main dish.
Method 2 of 4: Meat Fried Rice
Step 1. Heat 1/2 tablespoon of peanut oil in a large frying pan over medium heat
Step 2. Cook the eggs
Add 2 beaten eggs to the frying pan. Shake the pan so that the entire surface is coated with the egg. Cook eggs until all parts are cooked. Halfway through cooking, after about 2 minutes, flip the eggs. Then remove the eggs, cut into small pieces, and set aside.
Step 3. Put the onions, garlic and ginger in a frying pan
Heat 1/2 cup of chopped onion, 3 cloves of finely chopped garlic, and 2 tablespoons of ground ginger in a frying pan. Cook these ingredients together for 2 minutes, in peanut oil.
Step 4. Put the minced meat into the rice
The meat you use must be cooked first. Cook the meat until it is brown in color.
Step 5. Put rice, soy sauce and sesame oil in a frying pan
Add 1 cup brown rice, 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce, and 2 tablespoons sesame oil to skillet and cook for 2 more minutes. Season with salt and black pepper. Then remove the fried rice from the stove.
Step 6. Add 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
Mix well with other ingredients.
Step 7. Serve
Put this fried rice in a plate and put sliced egg on it.
Method 3 of 4: Indonesian Fried Rice
Step 1. Wash and strain 1 cups of white rice
Step 2. Bring the rice to a boil in cup of water and 1 cup of chicken stock in a saucepan
Step 3. Cover the pot and reduce the heat
Cook until the liquid is completely absorbed and the rice becomes soft. Usually it takes about 15 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and let it remain covered for 5 minutes to allow the rice to absorb all the flavour.
Step 4. Transfer the rice to a bowl
Let cool to room temperature - usually takes about 30 minutes. Refrigerate the rice for 8 to 12 hours.
Step 5. Heat 1 L of oil in a frying pan over high heat
Heat until the temperature reaches about 190°C.
Step 6. Fry prawn crackers (according to taste)
Slowly add the crackers to the oil. Fry until it floats to the surface of the oil and expands, which is about 20 seconds. Flip crackers and fry until golden - about 10 more seconds. Then remove and drain to dry.
Fry the remaining crackers in 3 frying times in the same way. When the crackers are cooked, let them cool and break them into small pieces
Step 7. Separate the rice
Do it with your hands. This will help the rice absorb other ingredients.
Step 8. Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a skillet over high heat
Heat it up but don't let it smoke. Then add 2 cups of sliced red onion and fry for about 1 minute. Add 2 cloves of minced garlic and fry for another 30 seconds.
Step 9. Add chicken to this mixture
Add 1/2 kg skinless chicken breast slices until they are no longer pink, usually takes 2 minutes.
Step 10. Add shrimp, chili and salt
Add 1/2 kg peeled prawns, 2 finely chopped cayenne pepper, and 1 1/4 tablespoons salt and cook for 2-3 minutes until prawns are fully cooked.
Step 11. Add the remaining stock and sweet soy sauce to the rice
Add 1/4 cup of chicken stock and soy sauce to the rice mixture and stir until the rice is hot, which is about 2 minutes.
Step 12. Remove the rice from the stove
Add 1 tablespoon of fish sauce and sliced scallions until well combined.
Step 13. Serve
Serve Indonesian fried rice along with crackers, sliced cucumber, and hard-boiled eggs.
Method 4 of 4: Other Types of Fried Rice
