Ghost-like decorations and items are popular for spooky parties or events, such as Halloween. Here's an example of disgusting decorations, spooky sweet treats, and ghost-like costumes that you can simply make yourself to wear whenever you want.
Ingredients
Ghost Cookies
- 3 egg whites
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) cream of tartar
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) sugar
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) mildly sweet chocolate chips
Step
Method 1 of 6: Simple Ghost Decoration
Step 1. Stack two paper cups together
Make the base using a 250 ml paper cup. Place the first glass on the table upside down. Then, place the glass in the correct upright position on top of the inverted glass.
If these two stacked glasses are unstable, you can make them stable by using tape on the glasses. You will only need these glasses for a while
Step 2. Place a small balloon on it
Inflate a small balloon and place it over the mouth of the glass above. The glass at the bottom must be kept upside down, while the glass at the top must be in the correct position.
- You can use any colored balloons as these will only be needed temporarily.
- Water balloons are usually the right size.
Step 3. Cut a 20 cm length of cheesecloth
It doesn't matter if the edges are uneven. In fact, the uneven edges can make ghosts look more real.
Use a pure white cotton cloth, not ivory or cream
Step 4. Soak your cotton cloth in bleach
Place the cotton cloth in the bowl, making sure that both sides of the cotton cloth are completely submerged.
- Work fast.
- Pour the bleach into a small but wide bowl so you can complete this process as quickly as possible.
Step 5. Directly hang your cotton fabric over the balloon
As soon as you remove the cotton cloth from the bowl of bleach, you should immediately place it on the balloon that is on top of the standing paper cup.
- The hanging sides of the cotton fabric don't need to be exactly the same size, but they should still be similar.
- Let the bleach on the cotton fabric dry. This drying process will take about 10 minutes.
Step 6. Pop the balloon when the cotton cloth is dry
Stick the needle through the cotton cloth to pop the balloon.
Now you will get something resembling a hardened “ghost”. Remove from the bottom of the glass
Step 7. Decorate your ghost
Use glue to attach two dark circles that will serve as eyes for the ghost.
- Let the glue dry.
- Use your fingers to widen and harden the edges of the fabric, making your fabric look more ghostly.
- Tie a knot over the ghost using fishing thread, sewing thread, or string, then hang it for decoration.
Method 2 of 6: Spooky Ghost Decorations
Step 1. Shape the arms
The arm will play an important role in the structure of the ghost. The sleeves are molded with clothesline, plush hangers, and foam tubing.
- Roll the center of the clothesline on a soft clothes hanger six times. The number of coils of wire must be the same at the ends of the clothes hanger.
- Insert the pipe foam on each wire hanging from the center of the clothes hanger. Insert the foam tubing as far as possible so that each section of the wire is directly opposite the padded section of the clothes hanger.
- Use tape to attach the foam to the pipe.
- Straighten the hook of the hanger so that it can be used as the "neck" of the ghost.
Step 2. Make the base of the ghost body
Ghost bodies are made by hanging bubble wrap over your clothes hanger.
- Cut the bubble wrap into a large square and place it on a clothes hanger. Each side should be the same size and the total circumference of the bubble wrap should be double the length of your desired ghost.
- Pierce the straightened part of the hanger hook through the center of the bubble wrap.
- Start with one sheet of bubble wrap and then add another sheet of bubble wrap.
- Secure it using tape.
Step 3. Glue the head
Use a plastic bubble at the top of the hanger and then push the plastic bubble down so that the straightened part of the hook penetrates the center of the plastic.
Secure with tape
Step 4. Hang the white cloth over the head
Hang the center of the white cloth over the center of the head and let the rest of the white cloth hang down. Tear off the bottom of the fabric with scissors to make it look more like a ghost.
- Save the rest of your cutouts.
- Use a light white cloth or or white cloth that has a thin section. In addition to light white cloth, tulle or any kind of white cloth can also be used.
- If you have trouble working the fabric when the ghost is flat, hang it with fishing thread tied around the neck.
Step 5. Cut out the arms
Use a wire-cutting tool or sharp scissors to trim the arm to an appropriate size.
Remember that the two sides of the arm must be relatively the same size
Step 6. Make the hands
Fill the white glove with cotton until it looks full. Glue the glove to the wire end of the ghost arm.
You can use plastic, rubber, or cloth gloves. However, make sure you choose between see-through gloves or white gloves
Step 7. Fill in the ghost figure
Glue the pieces of fabric along the ghost's arms, head and body.
When all the fabric has been used, cut out and tear the plastic trash in layers to decorate the ghost
Step 8. Hang the ghost as a decoration
Tie fishing string or string around the ghost's neck if you haven't done this before. Use this thread to hang the ghost on a roof, doorknob, or anywhere you choose.
Method 3 of 6: Ghost Cookies
Step 1. Preheat your oven to 93 degrees Celsius
While you are heating the oven, prepare the layer for baking by laying out the parchment paper.
Remember that cookies have a delicate taste and consistency, so don't use cooking spray or aluminum foil for baking. Use parchment paper
Step 2. Mix the egg whites with the cream of tartar
Combine the two ingredients in a large cast-iron or glass bowl and mix with an electric mixer on medium speed until they are smooth and frothy.
- With "smooth peaks," the egg whites should be firm and fluffy. After removing the mixer from the egg whites, peaks or pointed ends should form before finally deflated.
- Glass and metal bowls are the best choices for beating egg whites because they tend to store less fat than plastic bowls. A layer of fat in the container can prevent the egg whites from rising completely.
Step 3. Add sugar and continue kneading the dough
Sprinkle the sugar into the egg mixture and continue beating on high speed for another 5-6 minutes, or until "stiff peaks" form.
With "stiff peaks," the egg whites should form solid peaks or pointed ends once the mixer is removed. The shape of this peak should not change
Step 4. Pour the egg whites into the cake plastic
Gently fold the egg whites into the plastic cake using a spoon or spoon.
- Make sure there is a wide, circular end on the plastic cake.
- Do not immediately pour the egg whites into the plastic cake roughly as doing it this way will let the air you just beat out.
Step 5. Form 8 to 10 ghosts on your baking sheet
Squeeze the cookie sheet to dispense the egg whites through the wide, circular ends to form a circular ghost.
- Place the egg whites on the baking sheet in a circular motion. Each ghost must be formed in a continuous upward circular motion.
- Turn the cookies onto the parchment paper to form a spiral base, then turn the cookies into a tower so that the top of the ghost looks smaller than the bottom.
Step 6. Bake until dry
Baking to dry will take about 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes.
Let it cool on a wire rack before you decorate it
Step 7. Melt the chocolate chips
Place the chocolate chips in the microwave and heat for 1 minute at 50 percent.
- Stir the melted chocolate chips so they don't burn.
- Stir the melted chocolate chip after removing it from the microwave so that the hard part melts as well.
Step 8. Pour the melted chocolate on the cooled ghost cookies
Put the melted chocolate in a plastic bag. Cut the ends of the plastic very small and squeeze the plastic so that the melted chocolate comes out of it and make eyes on your cookies using the plastic.
Let the chocolate cool before you show and serve
Method 4 of 6: Other Ghost Crafts
Step 1. Create a simple ghost with felt
Place the paper or cloth in the center of the felt circle. Tie the top and let the rest hang down to form the body.
Use the same basic technique as making a ghost out of tissue or making a ghost out of grocery plastic
Step 2. Make a cute and easy ghost using a paper plate
Use paper plates and tissue to make ghost faces that you can stick or hang as decorations. This craft is safe enough for small children to make.
Step 3. Create a mouse ghost using an old sock
Old white socks can be used to make cute mouse ghosts. Add socks with face, ears, and tail, then tie the body from the head to make it shaped like a ghost.
Step 4. Create the ghost image
You can draw old-fashioned and traditional ghost cartoons with a few simple shapes. This image can be used to decorate posters and many other decorations.
Step 5. Trick your friends with ghost tricks on photo
By manipulating two photos together when you wash them, you can make a photo that looks like a ghost from one photo to the second.
Step 6. Carve a ghost on your pumpkin lantern
Create elements of Halloween decor by carving ghost shapes into pumpkins to make spooky lanterns that will impress your neighbors.
Method 5 of 6: Another Ghost Recipe
Step 1. Make a snack that is commonly referred to as “ghosts in the graveyard”
The soil is formed with crushed chocolate biscuits and custard. Make graves and ghosts using biscuits and whipped cream topping.
Get creative with this theme to make other ghost grave dishes. In addition to the standard dessert, you can also make pizza biscuits or an appetizer with the same concept
Step 2. Make ghost-shaped brownies
A quick and easy way to decorate brownies and other frozen desserts is to sprinkle white sugar over a stencil or ghost sample and place it in the center of each serving.
Step 3. Serve ghost pizza at your next Halloween party
Shape your favorite homemade pizza dough into a ghost shape and sprinkle with your favorite ingredients.
Step 4. Make a fake ghost with peanut butter and chocolate
Some simple materials are used to make this fake ghost, then it is shaped into the shape of a ghost and decorated according to its shape.
Method 6 of 6: Ghost Costume
Step 1. Make a traditional ghost costume for Halloween
You can make a traditional ghost costume using just a white cloth and scissors.
- For an easier alternative, you can make your ghost costume using old sheets.
- You can also make ordinary clothes look spooky by sprinkling them with baby powder. Complete this look by using the right makeup and hairstyle.
Step 2. Create a Charlie Brown ghost costume
Use the same basic method to make the ghost costume, but instead of cutting two holes for the eyes, cut out lots of extra, unnecessary holes in the fabric.
Step 3. Dress up your dog as a ghost
You can invite your dog to make the atmosphere fun by making a simple ghost costume for your dog using white cloth.
