Nose hair grows not without benefits. These hairs are part of our body's defense system. When we breathe air through our nose, dust, toxins, bacteria, and other pollutants get trapped in these hairs. There are two types of hair on the nose: microscopic hairs that resemble cilia, and coarse hairs that appear to stick out of the nostrils. If your nose hairs are rough, sticking out, and sometimes embarrassing, you can get rid of them easily, quickly, and cheaply. You just need a little guidance to make sure the sensitive inner skin of the nose isn't hurt by it.
Step
Method 1 of 3: Shaving with Scissors
Step 1. Use special razors
The scissor has rounded tips and is specially designed so that it is safe to use for shaving in sensitive areas such as the nose and ears.
Facial hair clippers are available at most department stores in the cosmetics area
Step 2. Always shave your nose in a well-lit mirror
Adequate lighting will help you see the fine hairs sticking out of your nose. Meanwhile, the mirror will help you see the hairs effectively.
Even if the scissors you use are rounded, you still have to pay close attention to their placement. Pay close attention to your hands and scissors
Step 3. Carefully insert the scissors into the nostril
Never stick razors into your nose as they can puncture and cause serious injury.
Before inserting the scissors into your nose, make sure they are clean
Step 4. Carefully cut the long nose hairs
Trim the hair that affects your appearance, that is, the hair sticking out of your nostrils. Meanwhile, leave the other feathers to prevent the entry of harmful pollutants into the body. Shaving the entire nose hair can cause negative side effects for the body.
- Make sure the scissors you use are not blunt. Dull scissors will make it difficult to cut some of the nose hairs, causing them to pluck and cause pain to your eyes.
- Push your nose up so you can see the inside of your nostrils more clearly. Also, try to smile. Both of these methods can help highlight hidden long nose hairs.
Step 5. Sterilize the scissors when you're done
Apply an antiseptic to the surface of the scissors before you put them back.
Method 2 of 3: Using a Shaver
Step 1. Choose an electric or manual shaver
The price of these two tools is quite affordable and may include additional tools for use on other areas such as eyebrows and beards.
- The manual shaver does not require batteries or cables. It may also be less tingling with vibrations. On the other hand, this shaver has to be operated with both hands.
- The electric shaver can shave nose hair quickly and efficiently. Most electric shavers can be used with just one hand.
- Before using an electric or manual shaver, be sure to read the user manual carefully to avoid injury and get the best results.
Step 2. Bend your head back and carefully insert the shaver into your nose
Instead, do this step in front of a mirror with good lighting. The shaver should fit easily into the nose without being forced.
- The nasal shaver is designed to fit safely into the nose. The blade of this tool is protected so that it will not touch sensitive skin.
- Many razors can remove hair painlessly because they are less likely to scratch the nose than scissors. It's just that sometimes the nose hairs are pulled from the roots so you feel pain.
- Do not insert the shaver too far into the nose. You just need to shave the hair sticking out of the nostrils. Leave the other fur to protect yourself from pollutants.
Step 3. Clean the shaver when finished
Most shavers can be cleaned easily with water.
Method 3 of 3: Using Tweezers
Step 1. Choose good, clean tweezers
Tweezers with a slanted tip and handle are probably the easiest to use.
Step 2. Stand in front of a bright mirror
Shaving your nose with tweezers may be more difficult and tiring than using scissors or a razor, and good lighting will help.
Decide on the hair that you are going to pluck. Remember not to pluck too much nose hair. These feathers are beneficial for your lung health. Just pluck any visible hair from a short distance away from you
Step 3. Pinch the root of the nose hair firmly, then pull it once quickly and steadily
- Don't think about it too long. Pulling the hair out out of fear will only make it more painful.
- This method will be a little painful. So, you can put a small ice cube in your nostril for about a minute if you want to relieve it a bit.
- Your eyes will be a little watery, and your face may be flushed red.
- Be careful. Many doctors do not recommend using tweezers to shave the nose because it can be dangerous, cause bleeding, or even cause small holes or sores that can easily become infected.
Step 4. Clean the tweezers when you're done
Apply an antiseptic or wash the tweezers with soap and water.
Tips
- Don't shave your nose hair too short. This can actually harm your immune and respiratory systems. Remember, the goal is to take care of your appearance, not get rid of this useful hair entirely.
- Drink tea or inhale the steam of boiling water to soothe a sore nose.
- Apply a small amount of antibiotic cream if your nose is injured by tweezers or scissors. Don't get infected!
