The body has 2 ways to get rid of toxins, namely through the kidneys and skin. Toxins are removed from the skin through sweat and this is why people take steam baths. After a 5-20 minute steam bath, your skin will start to sweat and flush out toxins from your body, leaving you feeling and looking healthier.
Step
Part 1 of 3: Preparation Stage
Step 1. Drink plenty of water before taking a steam bath
You will sweat a lot in a short time which can lead to dehydration. Drink two glasses of water before a steam bath to prevent this.
Clean the body thoroughly. Make sure all the dirt out of the pores. Dirt in the body can block the pores which can cause acne and blemishes. Clogged pores will prevent the body from removing toxins efficiently
Step 2. Try not to eat an hour before bathing

If you must eat, choose snacks or light fruit
Step 3. Stretch before showering
Do light stretches to relax and help the body release toxins through the pores. Stretching will also increase circulation which will help toxins leave your skin faster through sweat.
Part 2 of 3: Steam Bath Properly
Step 1. Take a regular shower first
A regular shower before a steam bath will help the body find its normal temperature, which will allow the steam bath to be more effective. A warm bath is better than a cold shower but make sure the water is not too hot so you don't sweat.
Step 2. Put on a light cotton towel
For a steam bath, the less clothes you wear, the better. The more open your body is, the easier it will be for sweat to excrete toxins.
Don't wear jewelry or glasses. You should only wear a towel
Step 3. Make sure you have enough time to fully relax
Don't rush into a steam bath. Try not to make appointments or other necessities after a steam bath. You should be able to focus on relaxing and enjoying the steam bath.
Turn off your phone or leave it in a safe area where it won't bother you
Step 4. Relax in a steam bath
You are free to decide whether to sit or lie down in the sauna room. The most important thing is to relax and enjoy the process. Clear your mind of stress and problems, and enjoy your time in a steam bath.
Step 5. Close your eyes and focus on your breath
To be relaxed and relaxed, inhale through your nose, hold your breath for a few seconds, and exhale through your mouth. By closing your eyes, you can focus on other senses and concentrate on your breath so you can fully relax and release stress.
Step 6. Drink plenty of water during a steam bath
Bring a bottle of water to the sauna room. The temperature in the sauna room is very high so you will sweat more and your body will lose more fluids.
Drink plenty of water from your water bottle to make sure you don't get dehydrated in the steam room
Step 7. Stay in the sauna room for 5-20 minutes
If 5 minutes have passed and you feel you've had enough, do it. However, don't stay in the sauna for more than 20 minutes so you don't overheat.
If you feel dizzy, nauseous, or uncomfortable in the sauna, get out and find a cool place
Part 3 of 3: Recovering after a Steam Bath
Step 1. Aerate the body and drink to cool it slowly with water and air
You may want to find the coldest spot after you step out of the sauna, but resist this temptation. Your body may startle and start to shiver. So, you should find a cool place and let the body cool down naturally.
Drink more water to restore the moisture lost from the steam bath
Step 2. Take a regular shower once again
You may be tempted to take a cold shower after stepping out of the sauna, but your body can be taken aback by the drastic change in temperature. Set the temperature of the water that restores the body to its normal temperature.
- Start with a warm bath and reduce the temperature slowly until it is comfortable and cool.
- Some people take a cold shower when the steam bath is halfway through, so the constant change between hot and cold increases the impact of the steam bath. This step is only recommended for people who have been able to take a steam bath long enough and know their bodies are strong enough to handle it.
Step 3. Relax for a few minutes
You should rest for a few minutes after a steam bath. Most people feel that their leisure time is over when the steam bath is over, and it's time to get back to the busy world. This spoils your relaxation time.
Take a few minutes to relax and unwind. You've gone to great lengths to make sure you have time to fully relax, so make the most of it
Warning
- The first time you take a steam bath, don't stay in the sauna for more than 10 minutes. Your body will need to get used to this experience over time, and never take a steam bath for up to 20 minutes.
- Pregnant women, people with heart disease, and patients with high or low blood pressure should not take a steam bath. If you have other medical conditions, consult your doctor first.
