This wikiHow teaches you how to download videos contained in Telegram chats to save on your computer, via the desktop version of the Telegram app.

Step 1. Run the desktop version of Telegram on the computer
The icon is a white paper airplane on a blue background. This icon is usually in the Applications folder (on a Mac), or the Start menu (Windows).
This desktop application can be downloaded and installed from the Telegram application page
Step 2. Click on the chat in the left pane
Find the chat containing the video you want to save, then click the video. The conversation with this video will open on the right.
Step 3. Right-click on the video you want to save
Find the video file in the chat, then right-click it to bring up several options. A drop-down menu will open.
Step 4. Select Save File As in the menu
By selecting it, you can download the video and save it on your computer. After clicking on it, a pop-up window will appear, asking you to specify a folder where to save the video.
Step 5. Select an existing folder on the computer
This is the location to save the video after the download is complete.
Step 6. Click Save in the pop-up menu
The computer will download the video file and save it in the folder you specified on your computer.
