A cyst is a small closed pocket on the surface of the skin that generally contains a semisolid material, gas, or liquid. Specifically, atheroma cysts are formed due to the accumulation of sebum (a natural oil that functions to moisturize the skin and hair) on the surface of a person's skin. Generally, atheroma cysts appear on the surface of the face, neck, back, and genitals (the latter case is very rare). While atheroma cysts tend to grow slowly and are generally painless, their presence can make you feel embarrassed or uncomfortable. - Apply a small amount of essential oil to the cyst four times a day with the help of a cotton swab or your fingertips. Step 8. Compress the cyst with a warm pad or towel
Soak a clean, soft towel in warm water, and use it to compress the cyst. Do this process for 10 minutes, at least four times a day.
- You can also soak a towel in chamomile tea. To make chamomile tea, brew 125 ml of water and 100 grams of chamomile tea powder for 10 minutes. Soak a towel in the brewed tea and use it to compress the cyst.
- If you'd like, you can also soak a towel in one part boiled apple cider vinegar with one part water and use it to compress the cyst.
