When you wake up in the morning and look in the mirror, you may be surprised to see that your hair is so tangled. If this problem has not happened before, you may need to know a quick way to solve it on the same day, and treatments to prevent it in the future. To help treat dry hair, you need to add a few extra steps to your hair care routine, as well as break habits that can damage your hair.
Step
Part 1 of 2: Repairing Dry Hair
Step 1. Use conditioner every time you shower
While you shouldn't shampoo too often, use conditioner whenever possible. Conditioner won't remove dirt from your hair, but it will make it more moisturized and treat the hair cuticles.
Purchase a high-quality conditioner if your hair is dry. Spending a little more will provide a product that is more beneficial to the hair
Step 2. Apply a leave-in conditioner after showering
Leave-in conditioner is available as a cream or spray bottle. Use the one that feels more suitable for your hair. Dry your hair with a towel until it's slightly dry, then apply a leave-in conditioner and then let your hair dry on its own.
- Leave-in conditioners come in a variety of price options, and are available at most convenience stores or convenience stores.
- As with other products, spending a little more will give better results.
Step 3. Purchase and apply a hair mask
In addition to daily hair care, you should also apply a moisturizing mask treatment to your hair 1 or 2 times a week.
- Apply the mask all over the hair shaft, from the roots to the tips.
- Tie and bun behind your head if you have long hair.
- Cover your head with a shower cap to prevent the mask from getting on your clothes and furniture.
- Leave the mask on for at least 1 hour.
- Take a shower and rinse the mask out of your hair.
Step 4. Use natural treatments in place of commercial masks
Many natural oils are highly nutritious and great for moisturizing hair. If the chemicals in commercial products make you anxious, use natural oils instead. Use in the same way as a commercial mask: apply all over the hair shaft from root to tip, cover with a shower cap, and let sit for at least 1 hour before rinsing.
- Coconut oil is a highly nutritious oil that is widely used on hair and skin.
- Avocado oil is a great source of vitamins A, B, D, and E, as well as protein, amino acids, iron, copper, magnesium, and folic acid.
- Argan oil will not only treat dry hair, it can also be used to treat split ends.
- Olive oil is a very useful product and may even be available in your kitchen.
Step 5. Use honey to moisturize hair
Again, some of the best hair care products come from nature. Honey is a highly nutritious ingredient and can moisturize dry or damaged hair.
- Mix cup of raw honey with a little apple cider vinegar so you can apply it all over your hair.
- Take a shower and wash your hair.
- Apply a solution of honey and water to damp, clean hair.
- Cover with a shower cap.
- Leave it for at least half an hour.
- Shampoo again to wash the honey off your head.
- Replace the water with apple cider vinegar or another nutritious oil (such as coconut oil, argan oil, or olive oil) if you want a stronger moisturizer.
Step 6. Use avocado to moisturize hair
You can use avocado oil that is sold in salons, beauty product stores, some department stores or supermarkets, and the internet, or you can use avocados directly.
- Mix 1 teaspoon of avocado oil and olive oil, then apply evenly to all parts of the hair. Leave for 1 hour before rinsing.
- Mash 2 avocados in a bowl. Apply to damp hair from roots to tips, then cover with a shower cap, and leave for 15-20 minutes before rinsing.
- Make sure to smooth the avocado well, so that there are no large fruit clumps and can be applied evenly to all parts of the hair.
Step 7. Use a banana to moisturize your hair
Just like avocados, bananas are also an inexpensive and natural way to nourish and moisturize hair.
- Blend the flesh of 3 bananas together with about 45 ml of honey, 2 tablespoons of yogurt, and a tablespoon of milk in a blender.
- Take a shower and wash your hair.
- Apply the banana mask to damp, clean hair.
- Cover with a shower cap.
- Leave it for at least 1 hour.
- Wash your hair again until clean.
Part 2 of 2: Breaking Habits That Damage Hair
Step 1. Don't wash your hair too often
People tend to wash their hair more often than they should, and this will lift the natural oils (sebum) that are important for hair health and shine. Reduce your shampooing frequency to no more than 2 or 3 times a week to maintain healthy sebum levels and prevent dry hair.
Step 2. Switch to a low sulfate or sulfate-free shampoo
Many shampoos contain high levels of sulfate to create a lot of lather. While the lather of the shampoo may leave you feeling clean, the sulfates will actually remove the natural oils that are essential for hair. Low-sulphate or no-sulphate shampoos can still clean your hair, but you'll have to get used to less lather.
- Low-sulphate shampoos are available at most convenience stores.
- If not, visit a beauty product store or salon near you.
Step 3. Stop using the shampoo
Shampooing without shampoo may sound weird, but it's actually a great way to keep harmful chemicals out of your hair and replace them with common household items.
- Dissolve 1 tablespoon of baking soda in a cup of water, and use it to wash your hair in the shower.
- Baking soda alone will dry out your hair, so always follow up with an apple cider vinegar rinse, which is a natural moisturizer.
- Mix the apple cider vinegar and water 1:1, then pour it into your hair after the baking soda has been rinsed off.
- Rinse the remaining solution from your head.
Step 4. Avoid high-temperature styling
Constant exposure to a hairdryer will make your hair dry and damaged. Allow your hair to dry on its own as often as possible, and always use a hair protection product (which can be easily purchased at the convenience store or supermarket) if you must use a hairdryer.
