- 300 ml vanilla ice cream, soften at room temperature
- 120 ml milk
- tsp. vanilla extract
Will make: 2 cups of milkshake
Step
Method 1 of 4: Warm up and Eat the Pop Tart
Step 1. Warm the pop tart with a toaster if you want to use the traditional method
First of all, remove the pop tart from its packaging. Then, place the pop tarts vertically into the toaster, and warm them on low for one cycle. Before eating, let the pop tart sit for a few seconds until it cools down.
Don't have a toaster? Please use an oven toaster (smaller than conventional ovens and commonly used for baking bread) to get results that are no less delicious
Step 2. Warm the pop tart in the microwave if you don't have a toaster
Remove the pop tart from its packaging and place it in a heat-resistant container. Place the container in the microwave, then warm the pop tart for 3 seconds. Before eating, let the pop tart sit for a few seconds until it cools down.
Step 3. Eat the pop tart right out of the box if your time is limited
Many people prefer to eat pop tarts at room temperature, and that's a perfectly natural preference! After all, pop tarts are pre-baked so they don't really need to be reheated before eating.
Step 4. Freeze the pop tarts if you want to serve them chilled
In fact, there are quite a number of delicious pop tarts served this way, such as Cookies & Creme-flavored pop tarts, Hot Fudge Sundaes, and Frosted Chocolate Chips. To do this, all you need to do is place the pop tarts in a plastic clip bag, then store the bags in the freezer overnight. Voila, the delicious pop tart is ready to be enjoyed the next day!
Method 2 of 4: Creating a Pop Tart
Step 1. Use the pop tart as a accompaniment to the ice cream
Cut or crush your favorite flavored pop tart and sprinkle it over your favorite ice cream. Remember, the size of the pop tart pieces or crumbs should not be too big! Pop tarts do not need to be warmed before eating.
Step 2. Use a cookie cutter to make pop tarts in a variety of interesting shapes
To do this, you will first need to grease the cookie cutters with butter or spray them with cooking oil. Then, use the tool to cut the pop tart with your favorite flavor. If possible, cut the pop tarts into portions that are full of filling. Pop tarts do not need to be warmed before eating.
- Use pop tarts that have been shaped as ice cream garnishes.
- Use up the remaining pop tarts, or crush the pop tarts and use them as a topping for a variety of desserts.
Step 3. Make a parfait from a pop tart
To do this, simply crush a strawberry-flavored pop tart and pour it into the bottom of a parfait glass. After that, add fresh strawberry pieces and whipped cream on top. Garnish the parfait with extra whipped cream and crumbs of a finer-textured pop tart.
Step 4. Use pop tarts instead of graham crackers to make s'mores
To do this, simply split the pop tart into two equal parts, then place a piece of chocolate on the non-frosting side. Top the chocolate with the marshmallows, then place the remaining pop tart on top of the marshmallows.
- While the pop tart doesn't have to be baked, doing so can make the chocolate melt more quickly.
- To make the s'more chewy and delicious, try warming it in the microwave for 3 seconds.
- In fact, you can use a s'more-flavored pop tart in this recipe, although the peanut butter and brown sugar pop tarts are equally delicious!
Method 3 of 4: Making Ice Cream Filled Pop Tarts
Step 1. Place two pop tarts on a cutting board with the frosting side down
Set the other two pop tarts aside for later use. Basically, you can use any flavored pop tart in this recipe, although Cookies & Creme, Frosted Chocolate Chip, and Hot Fudge Sundae pop tarts make for the perfect combination with ice cream.
Step 2. Pour 70 ml of ice cream over each pop tart
While cookies-n-cream ice cream, cookie dough, or vanilla will make the perfect combination with a pop tart, you can actually use any other flavor you prefer. Use a special spoon to scoop up the ice cream and pour it onto the pop tart, then use a rubber spatula or knife to spread the surface of the ice cream over the entire surface of the pop tart.
Step 3. Cover the ice cream with the pop tart, and make sure the frosting side is facing up
Gently press the pop tart to fully adhere to the ice cream underneath, as well as to push the ice cream to the edge of the pop tart. If any of the ice cream is sticking out of the edges of the pop tart, feel free to flatten it out with the help of a spatula or knife.
Step 4. Split the pop tart wide
If necessary, slice off the edges of the pop tart so the snack isn't too big.
Step 5. Dip the sides of the pop tart in the meses or chocolate chips, if desired
Fill a bowl with small chocolate chips or chocolate chips. Then, dip the entire side of the pop tart with the ice cream filling in it. Supposedly, the chocolate chips or meses will stick to the surface of the ice cream and make the pop tart texture crunchier when eaten.
Step 6. Wrap the pop tart with ice cream filling and freeze in the freezer for at least 2 hours
Very carefully, wrap each pop tart with plastic wrap, then store in the freezer until the ice cream texture hardens and the pop tart texture solidifies.
Method 4 of 4: Making Cookies-n-Cream Flavored Milk Shakes
Step 1. Pour the milk into the blender, then add the ice cream and vanilla extract to it
Since this dessert is very creamy and fatty, it's best to use low-fat or low-fat milk. However, if you don't mind eating a milkshake that is rich in milk and fat, please use high-fat milk or milk with 2% fat content.
Step 2. Close the blender, then process the milk shake until the texture is smooth and creamy
Every now and then, turn off the blender and stir the bottom with a spatula so that all the ingredients are well mixed and don't end up clumping together.
Step 3. Crush the pop tart until it's crumbly, but not very smooth; set aside
If you want, you can also use a strawberry-flavored pop tart to make a strawberry cake-flavored milkshake.
Step 4. Add the crushed pop tart, then process the milk shake again for a few seconds until the pop tart crumbs are well mixed, but the texture doesn't end up being too smooth
Step 5. Pour the milkshake into two tall glasses, then decorate the rim of the glass with a triangular pop tart
Use the help of a spatula to pour the thick milk shake into two tall glasses, then serve the milk shake immediately.
Tips
- Warming the pop tart in the microwave or toaster will not melt the frosting on the surface.
- Generally, pop tarts are eaten by hand, just like when you are eating a sandwich. However, if you want to serve pop tart in a fine dining event, please eat it with the help of a knife and fork.
- Basically, pop tarts come in many different flavors. Some of them are special editions that will not be produced twice, while there are also seasonal editions that will appear once a year.
