Although the feature to move funds directly between PayPal and Venmo accounts isn't yet available, this wikiHow teaches you how to withdraw funds from your Venmo account and put them into your PayPal account by transferring them to a shared bank account that both Venmo and PayPal have access to.

Method 1 of 2: Using Mobile Apps
Step 1. Open Venmo
The icon looks like a white “V” on a blue background. You can find this icon on your home screen or app drawer, or by searching for it.
- You must connect the same bank account to your Venmo and PayPal accounts before proceeding.
- You'll also need a PayPal Cash or PayPal Cash Plus account if you haven't set up or have one.
- Sign in to your account if prompted.
Step 2. Withdraw funds to the bank account that is also linked to the PayPal account
Linking bank accounts to PayPal and Venmo accounts can take a few days so you may need more time to prepare.
- Touch to open the menu on the left of the screen.
- Touch the link “ Manage Balance " or " Money Transfer ” which is blue next to the Venmo balance amount. A menu will appear from the bottom of the screen.
- Touch " Transfer to Bank " You can touch the number buttons to change the amount of the balance that needs to be transferred, but you need to delete the existing amount first.
- Touch " Instant " or " 1-3 biz days " You can choose instant transfers (with a fee of 1% of the nominal balance) or free transfers for 1-3 working days.
- Touch an option to select a bank. You will be asked to confirm the transfer, then you can touch the “ Transfer ” which is green. Depending on your choice, transferring funds from Venmo to your bank account can take a few seconds to a few days.
Step 3. Open PayPal
The icon looks like a white “P” on a blue background. You can find it on your home screen or app drawer, or by searching for it.
- You must have linked the same bank account as your existing Venmo account in order to add funds to your PayPal account.
- Sign in to your account if prompted.
Step 4. Add the funds you previously transferred from Venmo to your PayPal account
To add funds to your PayPal account, you must have a PayPal Cash or PayPal Cash Plus account linked to your bank account.
- You can get a PayPal Cash or Cash Plus account by registering yourself or creating an account/balance account when receiving funds in your PayPal account and selecting "Keep it in PayPal" (and not "Transfer it to your bank").
- Touch PayPal balance. You will be taken to the balance page afterwards.
- Touch " Add Money " and " Add from your bank " If you choose to transfer within 1-3 business days, you will not see the funds from Venmo immediately and will need to wait 1-3 business days before the funds are credited to your PayPal account.
- Type in the amount of funds you want to transfer to your PayPal account, then select “ Continue ”.
- Confirm the transfer, then touch “ Add Money " Usually, it takes 3-5 business days for funds to be available in your PayPal account.

Step 1. Visit https://venmo.com/?m=co via a web browser
You may need to sign in to your account first if you haven't already.
Step 2. Withdraw funds from Venmo account
You must connect the same bank account to your Venmo and PayPal accounts before proceeding.
- Click the text field to change the amount of the balance you want to transfer.
- Click " Transfer " The funds will be sent to your bank account and after that, you can transfer them back to your PayPal account. You can transfer funds instantly (for a fee) or have them delivered for free within 3-5 business days.
Step 3. Visit https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/money/ via a web browser
You will need to sign in to your account first if you haven't already.
Step 4. Add funds to your PayPal account
If you are not offered the option to use the “Instant Pay” feature, you will need to wait a few business days for the funds from your Venmo account to arrive in your bank account.
- To add balance to your PayPal account, you must have a PayPal Cash or PayPal Cash Plus account with a linked bank account.
- You can get a PayPal Cash or Cash Plus account by registering or creating a balance account when receiving funds with PayPal and, instead of using the " Transfer it to your bank " option, you need to select " Keep it in PayPal ".
- Touch the “Wallet” and “ Money Transfer ”.
- Choose " Add money to your balance ” under the "Money In" heading.
- Enter the nominal balance you want to add to your PayPal account. You need to enter the exact amount. For example, if you want to add $1.05 in funds, type "1.05" instead of "105". The minimum amount you can send is 1 United States dollar.
- Click " Add ” and review the transfer information before clicking the “button again Add " Usually, it takes 3-5 business days for funds to be available in your PayPal account.
