This wikiHow teaches you how to upload a YouTube video link to your Facebook timeline on both desktop and mobile platforms. However, uploading a YouTube link will not display the video in question on Facebook. Also, there's no way to embed YouTube videos into Facebook posts. If you want to play a YouTube video on Facebook, you will need to download the video and upload it as a file to Facebook.

Step 1. Understand the limitations of this method
To upload a video and play it directly from Facebook (instead of directing other users to the YouTube site), you need to download the video in question and upload it to Facebook. However, there are some drawbacks to this method:
- You cannot follow this process on a mobile device (eg smartphone or tablet).
- YouTube video quality will decrease when uploaded to Facebook.
- Facebook only allows uploading videos with a maximum size of 1.75 gigabytes and a duration of 45 minutes. Videos of a longer size or duration cannot be uploaded to Facebook.
- You will need to include credit or information for the original video uploader by adding his or her name to the Facebook post.

Visit https://www.youtube.com/ in a browser. The YouTube main page will appear after that.
Step 3. Find the desired video

Step 6. Open the Convert2MP3 website

Step 7. Paste the video address
Click the text field under the "Insert video link" heading, then press Ctrl+V or Command+V. The YouTube link you previously copied will appear in that column.
Step 8. Change the video file type
Click the box mp3 ” next to the text field, then click “ mp4 ” in the drop-down menu.
Step 9. Select the desired video quality
Click the " MP4 Quality " drop-down box below the link field, then click the desired video quality in the drop-down menu.
You cannot choose a quality higher than the maximum video quality as doing so may cause errors
Step 10. Click convert
It's an orange button to the right of the link field. After that, Convert2MP3 will convert the YouTube video into a file.
If you see an error message, select a different video quality and click the “ convert ”.
Step 11. Click DOWNLOAD
This green button appears below the video title after the video has finished converting. Click the button to download the video file to your computer.
The uploading process may take a few minutes so be patient and don't close your browser window
Step 12. Open Facebook

It's a blue button in the lower-right corner of the post window. After that, the video will be uploaded to Facebook. You may need to wait a few minutes before the video finishes processing.
