Whatever your reason for appearing as a vampire, for a costume party, live action role playing (LARP), or trying out a new fashion, wear dark makeup and don't be afraid to improvise. There are many nuances of vampires, and your choice will depend on the character you want to play. To act like a vampire, you'll need to learn about your chosen vampire character, put on character-appropriate makeup, and put on some dark creepy clothes.
Step
Method 1 of 4: Dress like a Vampire
Step 1. Choose a dark colored outfit with red accents
Vampires liked dark clothes, like the black silk robes Count Dracula wore. However, usually dark colors are interspersed with a little red. For example, Marceline The Vampire Queen wears red boots with a gray tank top and tight jeans.
- Vampire clothing is generally dark (black), with a hint of color (red, white, or gray).
- Paint your hair a dark color from top to bottom.
- Opt for flashy red boots.
- Wear a gray tank top and if it's cold, wear outerwear.
- If you are participating in the LARP, check with the organizers about the costume conditions first.
Step 2. Choose a classic style
If you want to look like a classic vampire character, like Count Dracula, look to images of traditional vampire costumes for inspiration. Since the Victorian era had such a strong influence, you should opt for black and traditional clothing, such as a three-piece suit for men.
- For a male vampire character, you'll need a cape, vest, and maybe a tuxedo.
- For a female vampire costume, you will need an elegant dress, belt, and a short cape.
Step 3. Try the burlesque style
You can combine burlesque art with a vampire style. Model Heidi Klum once wore a cobweb robe with a bloody heart on her bodice for a Halloween party. To mimic the look, you'll need red lipstick, eye pencil, high heels, and red nail polish. You may also need a cobweb cloak and red boots.
Vampire clothes are usually sexy. So, you can try a burlesque dancer look
Step 4. Install the fake fangs
You need fangs to show seriousness. Try looking for it at a costume or party store, or a thrift store. Attach fangs when you apply makeup to see the effect.
Step 5. Wear a cloak if you want to look like Dracula
The big cloak is a traditional dress in Europe, especially the Dracula figure. Cloaks can be found in costume shops, especially when Halloween is around the corner, as well as online.
- An alternative to a cloak is a long, flowing coat.
- If you prefer a fancy vampire look, add a touch of spider brooch or black bat.
Method 2 of 4: Applying Vampire Makeup
Step 1. Apply white foundation
Fill a sponge or makeup brush with white foundation. Tie your hair back so it doesn't get in the way. Rub the foundation all over the face, as well as the ears and neck.
You can also add gold eye shadow under the eyes
Step 2. Make the eyebrows dark and pointed
Use a white eye pencil to erase the outer edges of the eyebrows. Cover the ends of the eyebrows, in the downward curve that leads to the eye sockets. Then, use a small brush to draw the vampire's eyebrows. Apply black face paint with a brush. Draw the outside of the eyebrows so that they stick up.
Step 3. Draw eyebrows swooping down above the eyes
You can use a black eyebrow pencil or a brush with black face paint. Draw a curve above the eye so that the eyebrows are very dark and pointed.
Step 4. Apply the red eye pencil over the eyelids
Use a small brush to apply the red color on the eyelids. Focus on the edges of the lids so that traces of red appear inside the eyes. Then, apply black mascara on the eyelashes.
- Enough eye makeup to achieve a sexy and mysterious feel, but not too much like a fight.
- While some vampires enjoy wearing black eye shadow, others prefer neutral colors.
- You can try sparkling green eye shadow in the corners of your eyes.
Step 5. Apply red lipstick
Red lips are very important for a vampire costume because they look like they just drank fresh blood. Choose your favorite red lipstick with dark shades, and apply it on your lips.
Women can use red or purple lipstick for the right look, while men can use a bit of lip color or fake blood
Step 6. Draw a teardrop
Use a small brush to apply the black face paint. Draw a line from the eye in the form of a spider web. Add red paint and draw a little red tear under the black line.
Step 7. Draw the blood falling from the lips
To show that you just drank blood, draw blood from the mouth. You can use a small brush and paint a red face.
Or, use fake blood
Method 3 of 4: Playing Live Action Role Playing (LARP)
Step 1. Decide which vampire character you want to play
If you follow the LARP, maybe the committee has already determined the character you should play. However, if the show is free, you can choose a specific character. If in doubt, find inspiration by reading vampire books or watching these vampire movies:
- Fiction The Vampyre by John William Polidori
- Bram Stoker's novel Dracula
- Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Series
- The Vampire Chronicles series by Anne Rice
- Vampire-themed television shows, such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, or The Vampire Diaries.
- Vampire films, such as Nosferatu, Interview with a Vampire, The Lost Boys, Blade, Vampires, or From Dusk Til Dawn.
Step 2. Play "cheat" as a vampire and honest as a player
During LARP, you should always have a reason to attack other characters. You have to play honest and not cheat. However, you'll also have to play the role of a total vampire, and that may mean being cruel or "cheating," like sucking blood or killing other characters.
Step 3. Bring out the vampire character's narcissism
Vampires are usually depicted as narcissistic or self-absorbed. To accentuate that trait, try to walk and appear in a powerful manner, shoulders pulled back and head held high.
- During the game, you should be more interested in talking about yourself.
- You also have to be expressive when you speak. If someone dares to open their mouth, display a bored and disdainful attitude.
- Whenever someone you don't like talks to you, put on a hateful expression and tilt your head up so you can see them from under your nose.
Step 4. Get to know the character you are playing
By getting to know your character, you can respond quickly to other players. Please improvise and enjoy the game.
- For example, the character you play with can heal quickly. Vampires may face the brink of collapse, but they always rise and return to their former glory with just a few drops of blood.
- Try to speak in a low voice. As depicted in the film, vampires are always low-key.
Method 4 of 4: Act like a Vampire
Step 1. Practice soul piercing gaze
If you take inspiration from films like Dracula, you have to practice looking at people with a soul-piercing gaze. Try to look deep into other people. To get this effect, you have to learn not to blink longer than humans normally do.
Don't be surprised if people think you're "dreamy," not perceptive. The vampire's gaze is difficult to display because sometimes the effect seems dazed, not sharp
Step 2. Pretend to be afraid of the sun
If someone opens the curtains or forces you out of the house during the day, you should growl and pull your coat up to your face. Also, say that you are very sensitive to light and prone to sunburn.
Vampires can't calm down during the day. However, when night falls, you can relax and be fearless. You are the master of the night
Step 3. Show a serious attitude
Vampires don't have a cheerful and playful personality. They are serious and somber, with no time or patience for trivial pleasures. As seen in the movies, vampires are always introverted, gloomy, gloomy, and silent a lot.
Vampires don't laugh cheerfully either. If you have to laugh, make a creepy laugh or a fun growl

In fact, drinking human blood is an unhygienic practice and a potential health hazard. Other people's blood can carry diseases, such as HIV and AIDS. In addition, you could be considered breaking the rules or put in a mental hospital.
