LTE, or Long Term Evolution, is a high-speed network communication protocol. LTE speeds can reach 10 times the speed of 3G networks. As long as you have subscribed to an LTE plan at the operator, the device will automatically pick up the 4G LTE signal. However, if the device cannot access the LTE network, you can enable the network manually from the settings menu.
Step
Method 1 of 4: iOS
Step 1. Tap the “Settings” icon, then select the “Cellular.”
Step 2. Slide the “Cellular Data” switch to the “On” position
Step 3. Tap “Enable LTE”, then select “Voice and Data. The 4G LTE feature is now active on your iOS device.
Method 2 of 4: Android
Step 1. Tap Menu, then select "Settings"
Step 2. Select “Tethering and Networks” or “Mobile Networks.”
If neither option is on the Settings screen, tap "More Settings" under the "Wireless and Networks" category
Step 3. Tap "Network Mode", then select "LTE"
The 4G LTE feature is now active on your Android device.
If the "LTE" option is not available, follow the fourth step in this section to enable LTE
Step 4. Tap Menu, then select "Phone"
Step 5. Enter the following code on the phone app: *#*#4636#*#*
Step 6. Tap "Send" to run the command
This code will display important statistics about the device, such as battery and Wi-Fi information.
Step 7. Tap on “Phone Information”, then scroll to “Set preferred network type. "
Step 8. Select the option that offers LTE speed
On most devices, you can select "LTE/GSM/WCDMA". After tapping the option, the 4G LTE feature is now active on the Android device, and the 4G logo will appear at the top of the device screen.
Repeat the above steps each time you restart the device. When you restart the device, the network settings will be restored to the default settings
Method 3 of 4: Windows Phone
Step 1. Open the home screen of the phone, then tap “Settings.”
Step 2. Tap “Mobile Networks.”
Step 3. Tap “Highest connection speed,” then select “4G” from the drop-down menu
Step 4. Tap “On. “The 4G LTE feature is now active on your Windows device.
Method 4 of 4: BlackBerry
Step 1. Open the home screen of the phone, then tap “Settings.”
Step 2. Select “Network and Connections.”
Step 3. Select the “Mobile Network” option, then scroll down until you find “Network Mode.”
Step 4. Select the “4G and 3G” or “4G, 3G and 2G” option from the drop-down menu
Select the “4G, 3G and 2G” option if you frequently travel to signal-poor areas. That way, your phone will still be able to receive a signal
Step 5. Select the option to save the settings
The 4G LTE feature is now active on your BlackBerry device.
