Method 2 of 2: Troubleshooting
Step 1. Try using another jailbreak tool provided on the Jailbreak Wizard page if the first tool fails to jailbreak the device
Jailbreak tools are developed by third parties who are not affiliated with Apple, and are not guaranteed to work all the time.
Step 2. Use a different USB cable or port if the computer or jailbreak program fails to detect the device
This procedure can deal with problems related to hardware failure or damage.
Step 3. Install all software and firmware updates on iPad 2 and computer if jailbreak raises one or more error messages
“Out of date” software sometimes triggers compatibility issues with jailbreak programs.
Step 4. Restore iPad 2 via iTunes on a computer if jailbreak doesn't work or triggers software issues on the device
This process will undo or disable the jailbreak, as well as restore factory settings to the iPad.
Step 5. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the jailbreak program to deal with any errors or issues that occur due to a failed/corrupted installation process
Errors or problems with the installation of the program sometimes make the jailbreak program unable to function efficiently.
