Creeper is one of the mobs (enemies in Minecraft) that you may encounter at the beginning of the game in Minecraft. They can sneak up on you and hiss behind you and then blow themselves up. In addition, they are also immune to sunlight and can deal high damage to your hit points, making them a difficult foe for players just starting out. Fortunately, there are many ways in the game that can be used against them.

Method 1 of 5: Scare Creepers Using Cats
Step 1. Catch raw fish
Make a fishing rod from three sticks and two strings. Use the fishing rod in the puddle and right-click when you see a trail in the water leading to the hook. Keep doing this step until you get raw fish.
- The fish trail will not appear if the Particles graphic setting in the Video Settings menu is set to the lowest setting.
- Enchantment table can increase the ability of fishing rods.
Step 2. Tame the Ocelot
Feed the Ocelot with raw fish to turn it into a tame cat (cat) that will follow you wherever you go until they are told to be quiet. If you have one or more cats following you, the Creepers will get away from you before they can blow themselves up.

Step 3. Use the cat to guard the base
One interesting strategy is to have a group of cats sit on the edge of your building. Creeper will not dare to approach if the cat stays close to the building. After that, you can shoot the Creeper with a bow, or ignore it.
Method 2 of 5: Using Traps and Tricky Tactics
Step 1. Make a hole trap
Make a stair about 4 x 4 blocks wide so you can more easily lure the Creeper into the hole. Make a hole 23 blocks deep and build a ladder in the wall opposite the hole. Lure the Creepers into the hole, then rise to the surface as they fall and die.
The diamond shovel may be able to dig a hole for the trap fairly quickly even when you're being chased by an enemy, but this tactic is very risky
Step 2. Strangle the Creeper
If you're on top of the Creeper, you can drop two blocks of sand or gravel on top of them to strangle them. You'll most likely be able to kill them before they manage to escape. Some people set traps to strangle Creepers and lure them into their traps where the sticky piston blocks push the blocks over their heads and suffocate them.
Using lava as a trap can be an effective method, but it carries the risk of starting fires all around you
Step 3. Blow them up using TNT
First, kill the Creeper in another way, then collect gunpowder from their body to use as a weapon against them. Assemble the TNT using five pieces of gunpowder and four blocks of sand or red sand blocks (red sand). This explosive can kill Creepers and can be detonated using redstone or when exposed to fire or lava.
- Make sure the button or lever that activates the TNT is in a safe place.
- TNT will destroy the area around it, so you must repair all of the traps each time you use TNT or create a trap in a new area.
Step 4. Burn the land that the Creeper passes through
You can burn the land or look for land that burns naturally. Avoid the Creeper while moving backwards and use flint and steel to ignite a fire on the ground. The fire will burn them slowly as they walk on the burning ground until they die.

You can lift the enemy using a fishing rod. Go to the hill where you are above the Creeper and lure them, then drop them to reduce their hit points. Repeat this process until they die.

Several other enemies will attack the Creeper as well, but the Creeper killed by the monster will not drop the music disc
Method 3 of 5: Using a Bow
Step 1. Get the bow
You can use the following methods to get a bow if you don't have one:
- Make a bow from three wooden sticks and three threads. You can get the thread from the spider.
- There was a small chance the Skeletons would drop their bows if they were killed.
- There is a small chance that a bow can be obtained from fishing.
- Residents of Fletcher (people who make and sell arrows) will give you bows if you give them emeralds.

Step 3. Shoot the Creeper three times
Creeper can be killed with three shots on Normal difficulty if you pull the bow strong enough.
Step 4. Make a tower made of earth blocks
If you have a large number of dirt blocks, you can store them beneath you by placing them while jumping and if you do this quickly and continuously, you will be able to build a tower of dirt. In this tower you can safely shoot down Creepers below, as long as they are six blocks above them (or eight blocks from the ground).
Step 5. Make a hole or post in the roof as a place to shoot arrows
Protect the castle by making a hole under the window, so you can crouch and shoot arrows. Apart from that, you can also create a post on the roof where you can shoot anything that gets close.
Step 6. Improve your arrow skills
If you have an enchantment table, you can try increasing your bow's abilities. Depending on the type of enchantment, you can increase the damage dealt by the bow, increase the impact power generated so that the enemy is pushed further, set the enemy on fire, or grant you unlimited arrows.
Method 4 of 5: Fighting Close Up
Step 1. Run forward before hitting the enemy
You can run by double pressing the forward button to run towards the Creeper. Your attacks can push enemies back when you run.

The iron sword can kill a Creeper with three hits on Normal difficulty. However, if you try to hit them three times in a row, you might get killed by them. Therefore, try to retreat after hitting them once, then run and hit them two more times, or until they die.
- Don't approach the Creepers if they start to hiss and their bodies start to twinkle. This means they are ready to blow themselves up.
- Wooden sword (wooden sword), golden sword (golden sword), or stone sword (stone sword) can kill Creeper with four hits. When using tools or bare hands, Creeper can only be killed after being attacked more than four times.
Step 3. Create obstacles

Step 4. Fight in the water

- Creepers will hiss and their bodies will twinkle as you approach them, but they won't explode until their bodies start to emit white light.
Step 6. Improve your sword skills
The diamond sword still requires three hits to kill the Creeper so the sword doesn't have a much different increase when compared to the iron sword.
