While playing Minecraft, you may have seen different skins of other players and you want to know how to change such skins. Now, you can have your own personal skin by following this article!
Step
Method 1 of 2: Changing Skin on PC or Mac
Step 1. Note that you have to buy Minecraft to be able to change skins
Contraband or illegal copies cannot support skin changes, as you must upload the skin changes or change the skin from the Profile page.
Step 2. Create a skin from the skin editor and maker
Look for an editor or skin maker online. Many players choose the Skincraft editor, because it is easy to use, understand and versatile. Type "Skincraft" into a search engine to try it out.
- When using an editor like Skincraft, you can customize the skin one part of the body at a time. You can use different tools to tweak the skin bit by bit, or customize a completely different skin.
- When you're done creating or editing the skin, save it as a-p.webp" />
Step 3. Download the skin
Think about the skin you want and look for a downloadable version of the skin. Many users use character skins like Santa or mobs from Minecraft. To see the skins that have been made you can visit Skindex, a site with a collection of thousands of skins. You can search for skins and download them from here, then upload them to your Profile page.
Step 4. Use the mod to create a cape in addition to the skin
Although capes can't be made directly, you can make them with the help of mods. Look for Minecraft forums that have mods for using capes.
Step 5. Make sure your skin is uploaded to Minecraft
Sign in then upload your skin. Once uploaded, when you next join the server you will have your own skin.
Method 2 of 2: Changing Skin on Xbox
Step 1. Choose among 8 standard skins available for Xbox players
In the "Change Skin" area of Help & Options, select one of the following skin options: Default, Tennis, Tuxedo, Athlete, Scottish, Prisoner, Cyclist, and Boxer Steve.
Step 2. Download the skin pack to replace the default options
A trial version of the skin pack is available to download for free, although you'll need to purchase the pack if you want it permanent. Purchase the skin through the Xbox 360 Marketplace.
There are currently 7 skin packs available, and at least one pack is under construction, including the Halloween and Christmas packs
Tips
- Some Minecraft players have teams, so they play with the same skin (such as a hat) to identify themselves.
- Skins can also refer to in-game textures like diamonds or stones, so you can hide really easily.
- There is a very popular skin editing tool available called SkinEdit which gives you more functionality to play with, as well as functionality to create skins without an internet connection.
