This wikiHow teaches you how to connect your PlayStation 4 to your computer using Sony's Remote Play app. After connecting the DualShock 4 controller to your computer using a USB cable, you can use Remote Play to play PlayStation games on your computer monitor. This article is for the English-language Remote Play app.

Step 1. Visit
Remote Play is a free app from Sony that lets you connect your PlayStation 4 to a Windows or macOS computer.
Make sure your internet download and upload speed is at least 15mb/s if you want to use the Remote Play application on a laptop
Step 2. Click Windows PC or Mac.
This button will download the Remote Play installation application to your computer.
Step 3. Double-click the Remote Play installation app and then follow the prompts
Generally, recently downloaded files can be found in the "Downloads" folder or in your computer's browser. Double-click the Remote Play installation file to start the installation process.
While the installation process is in progress, you need to select the language to use and agree to the terms and conditions that apply
Step 4. Open Remote Play
This app has a blue icon with an image similar to that of a DualShock controller. You can find the Remote Play app in the Start Menu (for Windows) or in the folder Applications (for Macs).
Step 5. Connect the DualShock 4 controller to the computer
Connect one end of the USB cable to the controller and the other end to your computer's USB port.
Step 6. Press the Options button on the controller
This button is to the right of the touchpad.
Step 7. Sign in to your PlayStation Network account
Enter your Playstation Network account email address and password in the Remote Play app. Click Sign In.
If you haven't created a PlayStation Network account yet, click Create an Account then follow the prompts to create a new account.
Step 8. Enter the PS4 code (if any)
If your PlayStation account has a code, you will need to enter the code using the controller. After successfully logging in, you can play PS4 on your laptop using the Remote Play app.
