This wikiHow teaches you how to unlock an LG phone. If you forget your screen password, you'll be forced to do a factory reset which will erase all data if you didn't back it up beforehand. If you're traveling or using another cellular carrier, you'll need to unlock your phone so it can be used on another cellular network. Cellular carriers can unlock SIMs on phones and are usually free of charge. But your account must be registered and the phone meets the requirements.
