Prevent enemies from accessing your premium tiles, such as tiles labeled TW (Triple Word), and TL (Triple Letter). One good way to do this is by not placing vowels too close to premium tiles, as vowels are very easy to use to string words together. Try connecting premium tiles with consonants.
Step 2. Know when to play short words
While it may feel counterintuitive, playing with the longest possible words to string together isn't always the best option. This is because long words, especially ones with a lot of vowels, will create opportunities for your opponents, especially if they are close to premium tiles. Instead, try playing with shorter words that contain lots of consonants and high-value letters, such as Z and Q.
