Are you having problems with hair growing in the belly area? You are not alone. Many women decide to remove the hair that grows in the belly area because it is considered disturbing appearance, especially if the hair is dark and rough. Fortunately, there are a variety of relatively inexpensive ways to get rid of this unwanted hair. Each method of course has its own advantages and disadvantages. So, feel free to decide which one is the most appropriate for you.
Step
Method 1 of 5: Shaving Abdominal Hair
Step 1. Wet the fur first
Use warm water and a washcloth to soften the hair in the belly area for a few minutes. This step will make the shaving process easier.
If you want, you can take a shower first instead of just wetting your stomach. It's best to shave after bathing. Wet skin will make it easier to shave and reduce the risk of being scratched by the razor
Step 2. Apply shaving cream
Prepare a shaving cream and apply it evenly on the belly area that is covered with hair.
Step 3. Shave the hair
Gently sweep the razor over the hairy area. First, shave in the direction of hair growth. Then brush the razor against the direction of hair growth. Rinse the razor after each stroke.
We recommend that you use a new, good quality razor. If you have to apply pressure to the blade as you run it over the skin, the razor is dull and needs to be replaced
Step 4. Rinse the stomach
After the shaving process is complete, wash off the remaining shaving cream and hair pieces stuck to the skin with warm water. Dry the stomach with a towel, then apply moisturizing lotion.
Method 2 of 5: Using Hair Removal Cream
Step 1. Do a skin test (patch test) first
Apply the cream on a small patch of skin and wait for a few minutes. If your skin shows an adverse reaction, such as itching and redness, try a different brand of depilatory cream. If there is no allergic reaction, it means the cream is safe to use.
Hair removal cream is usually sold in most drugstores and stores that sell beauty products
Step 2. Wash the stomach
The abdominal area must be cleaned of oil and lotion residue before shaving. Dry the stomach after washing. Make sure there are no cuts on the surface of the skin before you proceed.
Step 3. Apply the cream
Take quite a lot of cream, then apply it evenly on the entire surface of the skin. You can use the spatula provided in the package to spread the cream on the skin. Wait for the recommended amount of time before continuing.
Usually the depilatory cream takes about 15 minutes to do its job or maybe more, depending on the type of cream you choose
Step 4. Remove the cream and rinse the skin
Use the spatula provided in the package to remove the cream. Scrape the cream in a downward motion. Rinse the stomach with warm water to remove any excess cream, then pat dry with a towel.
Method 3 of 5: Whiten Belly Hair
Step 1. Wash the belly area that is covered with hair
Use soap and water to wash the stomach thoroughly. Dry with a towel.
Step 2. Mix the bleach
Hair whitening cream products usually provide instructions on how to prepare the cream. Mix the bleaching ingredients in equal proportions.
- You can use any chemical-based hair whitening product that is sold in the market.
- In general, hair whitening products consist of the bleaching agent itself, and the conditioner. You have to mix the two ingredients in a bowl.
Step 3. Apply hair whitening cream on the belly area
Use the brush or spatula provided in the package to apply the cream to the ingrown belly area. Let the cream sit for 5-7 minutes before proceeding to the next step.
If you've never used a bleaching cream to lighten your hair, it's a good idea to do a skin test before applying the bleaching cream all over your stomach to prevent an allergic reaction. Apply a small amount of hair whitening cream on a small patch of skin and wait for 5-7 minutes. If no allergic reaction occurs, rinse and continue the bleaching process on all the fur in the belly area
Step 4. Rinse off the hair whitening cream
Use warm water to wash off the hair whitening cream. The skin affected by the bleaching cream may look lighter than usual, but the effect won't last long.
Method 4 of 5: Removing Stomach Hair with the Waxing Method
Step 1. Apply wax on the skin
Use the applicator provided in the package to apply the wax evenly on the skin. Be careful not to get the wax on your clothes or drip on the carpet.
You can use a commercial depilatory wax (you can buy it at most drugstores). Look for hard wax as you don't have to pull in the opposite direction of hair growth so the process is less painful
Step 2. Remove the wax using a piece of cloth
Let the wax harden. The wax will be thick and sticky once it is ready to be removed. Place a piece of cloth provided in the package on the surface of the candle. Take the end of the fabric and pull it off in one quick motion.
Step 3. Repeat the waxing process until you have a smooth, hair-free belly
Apply the wax on the other part of the stomach. Remove the wax using a piece of cloth. Repeat this process until you have covered the entire belly area.
Method 5 of 5: Using Unverified Home Methods
Step 1. Get rid of annoying belly hair with raw papaya
Some people feel satisfied using raw papaya to stop hair growth. Make a paste using raw papaya and turmeric powder. Apply the paste to the hairy belly area while massaging. Let stand for 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly and apply moisturizer.
Other ingredients that can be added to pasta to increase its effectiveness are aloe vera, garbanzo flour, and mustard oil
Step 2. Use a sugar-lemon-honey candle
Sugar, lemon, and honey are easy to find, inexpensive, and can be turned into natural waxes to get rid of unwanted hair. Combine honey, sugar and lemon in a bowl. Heat all ingredients, and stir constantly until it forms a thick paste. Now, dust the belly with cornstarch, then apply the warm paste on the skin. Place a piece of cloth over the surface of the skin that has been smeared with the paste, then remove it by pulling it against the direction of hair growth.
Methods that use natural waxes may not yield the same results as using commercially available candles. However, if you have fine belly hair, natural methods can give satisfactory results
Step 3. Make an egg white mask
Mix egg whites, sugar and cornstarch. Apply the mixture on the stomach area, then allow it to dry. After drying, remove the mask carefully. You will see the hair is pulled out with the mask
Step 4. Try plucking the hair with sugar and molasses
A mixture of sugar, molasses, and lemon applied to the skin will probably give the desired result. First, mix the sugar and molasses in a bowl. Let sit for a few minutes, then heat in the microwave until the sugar dissolves. Then add the lemon juice and mix until smooth. Apply the paste on the stomach area and let it dry. Then pull it off in the opposite direction of hair growth.
Warning
- Make sure you follow the directions given in the depilatory cream package.
- Be careful when using a razor so as not to injure yourself.
