Step
Step 1. Cut an elastic thread
Measure it to about twice the size of your finger, then cut it. Slide the small bead into the center of the piece.
Step 2. Insert the two larger beads on either side of the smaller bead
Step 3. Tuck a small bead on the tail
Then, tuck another one in the other tail.
Step 4. Continue this pattern until there are enough matching beads around the finger
Don't add small beads for the final piece.
Step 5. Finish the ring by tucking the loose tail through the first small bead threaded into the elastic
Tie a swing knot, then cut off the loose tail.
Step 6. Done
Adjust the short length until it feels good to wear. Now the ring is ready to wear.
Tips
- With the same process, you can also make a matching bracelet.
- Use crystals instead of plastic beads for a shinier bead ring.
- Do not use beads with a size that is too large because it will feel uncomfortable when worn on the fingers.
- Use beads of different sizes and colors, as long as they match.
- Store unused beads in a closed shoe box so they don't get lost or spill on the floor.
Warning
- Supervise the little ones as they make these rings.
- Keep beads out of reach of babies, small children and pets. Beads may present a choking hazard if swallowed.
