As an eBay user, you can block other users you don't want to do business with. Blocked users cannot make offers of goods or purchase your products, and cannot contact you to inquire about products that are registered or uploaded. In addition, you can also block users from certain states, regions, or countries. Follow the steps and methods below to add specific users to the eBay block list.

Method 1 of 2: Blocking Users (Separately)
Step 1. Visit https://www.ebay.com via a web browser
You can use any browser on your PC or Mac computer.
Step 2. Click Sign In
If you don't log into your account automatically, click the link “ Sign In ” in the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 3. Log in using the account username and password
Type in your eBay account email address and password, then click “ Sign In ”.
- Alternatively, click “ Sign in with Facebook " or " Sign in with Google ” to sign in using your Facebook or Google account.
- If you have two-factor authentication turned on, enter the six-digit code sent by text message to sign in to your account.
Step 4. Click Help & Contact
It's the fourth option in the top-left corner of the screen, at the top of the eBay main page.
Step 5. Type Block a buyer into the search bar
Click the bar next to the magnifying glass icon at the top of the page, then type "Block a buyer" into the search bar. A link to the buyer blocking form will appear.
Step 6. Click Block a Buyer
This blue button appears at the top of the search results.
Step 7. Type in the name of the user you want to block
Use the field under " Blocked Bidder/Buyer list " to type in the username of the buyer you want to block.
If you need to enter multiple usernames, separate each username with a comma
Step 8. Click Submit
It's below the text field, at the bottom of the form. Blocked users can no longer contact you to ask about the items you are selling, and cannot make purchases or offers of goods..
- To unblock a user, follow steps 1-6 to return to the block list. Remove the blocked user from the list and click “ Submit ”.
- To unblock all users, click “ Restore list ” at the top of the block list.
Method 2 of 2: Blocking Users from Specific States, Territories, or Countries
Step 1. Visit https://www.ebay.com via a web browser
You can use the browser on a PC or Mac computer.
If you've never sold anything on eBay, this option may not be available
Step 2. Click Sign In
If you are not automatically logged into your account, click the link “ Sign In ” in the top right corner of the page.
Step 3. Log in using the account username and password
Type in the account email address and password, then click “ Sign In ”.
- Alternatively, click “ Sign in with Facebook " or " Sign in with Google ” to sign in using your Facebook or Google account.
- If you have two-factor authentication turned on, enter the six-digit code sent by text message to sign in to your account.
Step 4. Click My eBay
It's in the top-right corner of the website.
Step 5. Click Accounts
This option is the third tab at the top of the account summary page.
Step 6. Click Site Preferences
It's in the menu in the left sidebar of the page.
Step 7. Scroll down and click on Shipping Preferences
This link is at the bottom of the page. After that, the "Manage Shipping settings" page will be opened.
Step 8. Click Edit next to the “Exclude shipping locations” option
This option is on the right side of the " Manage Shipping settings " page. An "Edit" link appears on the right of the page, next to each option on the menu.
Step 9. Check the options
next to the location you want to block.
You can choose a domestic region, a continent, and a postal box address.
Step 10. Click Save
The new delivery settings will be saved. Users from blocked countries can no longer buy your products or make offers..
Apply the new settings to all products by checking the box next to the “Apply to all current live listings” option
Tips
- You can block (maximum) 5,000 users.
- There are situations where it is possible for you to block certain users. For example, you've had a bad experience with that user or a new user hasn't had feedback or is getting a lot of bad feedback.
- Unblock a user at any time by returning to the “Managing Bidding and Buyers” review page, removing the username from the block list, and clicking the “Submit” button.
