This wikiHow teaches you how to view your browser's browsing history on both desktop and mobile platforms.

Method 1 of 8: Desktop Version of Google Chrome
Step 1. Open Google Chrome
The program is marked by a red, yellow, green, and blue circle icon.
Step 2. Click
It's in the upper-right corner of your browser window.
Step 3. Select History
You can see this at the top of the drop-down menu. Once selected, a pop-out menu will be displayed.
Step 4. Click History
It's at the top of the drop-down menu. After that, you will be taken to the browser search history.
Step 5. Review browser browsing history
You can scroll through the browsing history page to view previous entries in the history list, or click on an existing link to reopen the link page.
To clear browsing history, click “ Clear browsing history ” which is on the left side of the page. Make sure the "Browsing history" option is marked, then click " Clear browsing data ”.
Method 2 of 8: Google Chrome Mobile Version
Step 1. Open Google Chrome
This application is marked by a white icon with the typical Chrome logo.
Step 2. Touch
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Step 3. Touch History
It's in the middle of the menu.
Step 4. Review browser browsing history
When a history entry is touched, you will be taken to the corresponding link page.
To clear browsing history, touch the option “ Clear Browsing History ” in the lower-left corner of the screen. Make sure the “Browsing History” option is checked, then tap the option “ Clear Browsing Data " twice.
Method 3 of 8: Desktop Version of Firefox
Step 1. Open Firefox
The app is marked by a blue globe icon with an orange fox surrounding it.
Step 2. Click
It's in the upper-right corner of the Firefox window.
Step 3. Click Library
It's in the menu window that opens.
Step 4. Click History
It's in the pop-out menu that appears. Choice History ” has a clock icon above its label.
Step 5. Click Show All History
This option is at the bottom of the “History” menu. Once clicked, Firefox's browsing history will be displayed in a separate window.
Step 6. Review browser browsing history
When a search entry is double-clicked, it will be opened in the browser.
You can delete history entries (e.g. specific sites or folders) by right-clicking (or double-finding on the trackpad) the desired entry, then selecting “ Delete ”.
Method 4 of 8: Firefox Mobile Version
Step 1. Open Firefox
The app is marked by a blue globe icon with an orange fox surrounding it.
Step 2. Touch
It's in the lower-right corner of the screen. After that, a new window will open.
On the Android device, touch the button ⋮ in the upper-right corner of the screen to open the menu window.
Step 3. Touch History
This button is in the menu. After that, the Firefox history page on the mobile device will open.
Step 4. Pay attention to Firefox history
By touching one of the browsing histories, you can reopen them. Meanwhile, swiping the browsing history to the left will remove it from the list.
To clear the entire browsing history in Firefox, touch the button ☰ or ⋮, then Settings, Clear Private Data, Clear Private Data (on iPhone) or clear now (on Android), and finally touch OK (on iPhone) or CLEAR DATA (on Android).
Method 5 of 8: Microsoft Edge
Step 1. Open Microsoft Edge
This application is marked with a blue box with the letter "e" in white.
Step 2. Click the "Hub" icon
It's a star-shaped icon in the upper-right corner of the Microsoft Edge window (just to the left of the pen icon). After that, a menu window will open.
Step 3. Click History
It's on the left side of the menu window. After that, the browsing history will open.
Step 4. Pay attention to browsing history
You can click on any of the browsing histories to open the page.
To clear browsing history, click Clear history in the top right corner of this menu. Make sure to tick "Browsing history" and click clear.
Method 6 of 8: Internet Explorer
Step 1. Open Internet Explorer
This application is marked by the letter icon “ e light blue.
Step 2. Click the star icon
It's in the upper-right corner of the browser window. Once clicked, a pop-out menu will appear.
Step 3. Click the History tab
It's in the top-right corner of the pop-out menu.
Step 4. Review browser browsing history
You can click a folder in the “History” menu to view the browsing history for a specific month, or you can right click a folder (or entry) and select “ Delete ” to remove it from browsing history.
To clear history, click the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the window. Click " Internet options, then select " Delete ” which is under the “Browsing history” option. Make sure the "History" option is marked, then click " Delete ”.
Method 7 of 8: Safari Mobile Version
Step 1. Open Safari
This app is marked by a white icon with a blue compass logo.
Step 2. Touch the book button
This button is to the left of the two squares symbol. Touching this button will take you to the device's browsing history.
Step 3. Click History
Step 4. Review browser browsing history
When an entry on the history page is touched, you will be taken to the entry's web page.
You cannot delete browser browsing history through the Safari app
Method 8 of 8: Desktop Version of Safari
Step 1. Open Safari
This app is indicated by a blue compass icon that appears on your Mac's dock.
Step 2. Click History
It's in the top-left corner of the screen.
Step 3. Click Show History
After that, the browsing history window will be displayed.
Step 4. Review browser browsing history
When a history entry is clicked, you will be taken to the entry page.
