This wikiHow teaches you how to use a Microsoft Excel template to monitor multiple projects.
Step
Step 1. Open https://analysistabs.com/project/tracking/templates/excel/multiple/#bm1 in a web browser
This site contains a free Excel template called Analysistabs that can manage multiple projects and tasks.
Step 2. Click ANALYSISTABS – Multiple Project Tracking Excel Template
This will download the template into your computer's Downloads folder.
Step 3. Double-click the file
Namely the one named ANAYLSISTABS-Multiple-Project-Tracking-Template-Excel.xslm in the folder Downloads. The file will now open in Excel.
Step 4. Click the Data Sheet
That is one of the sheets at the bottom of the workbook.
Step 5. Add your data to the sheet
Include all ongoing projects and their details, including tasks, personnel, start date and expected completion date. You can also add or remove columns and rows to suit the needs of the project.
Step 6. Press Control+S to save changes
If prompted, provide a new file name and save it to a folder of your choice.
Step 7. Click the Project Plan sheet
It's at the bottom of the workbook. This step will open the details for the first project.
Step 8. Fill in the details for the first project
Enter project, customer, and manager names into the appropriate blanks.
Step 9. Click the small arrow next to the “All Projects” menu
It is located above the right panel. A list of additional projects will appear.
Step 10. Click Project 2
This will open the latest version of the last sheet you worked on.
Step 11. Fill in the details of the second project
When you're done, you can continue selecting projects and adding details to all of them.
Step 12. Update your progress on the Data Sheet as the project progresses
Any changes to this sheet will be reflected in the sheet Project Plan and Project Summary.
