This wikiHow teaches you how to free up some storage space on your Samsung Galaxy device by cleaning up storage space and deleting unneeded files.

Step 1. Open the settings menu on the device (“Settings”)
Swipe down from the top of the screen and touch the icon
in the upper right corner of the screen. The settings menu (“Settings”) will open.
Step 2. Touch Device maintenance on the “Settings” menu
The device management status score will be displayed on a new page.
Step 3. Touch Storage
This button displays the amount of available free storage space, at the bottom of the “DEVICE MAINTENANCE” page. The storage space statistics will load on a new page.
Step 4. Touch the CLEAN NOW button
Step 5. Touch a file type under the “USER DATA” section
This segment categorizes all files into several types, such as “ Documents ”, “ Images ”, “ Audio ”, “ Videos ", and " Apps " Touch a category to open a list of all files of that type.
Each category displays the total amount of storage space used by files from that category
Step 6. Select all the files you want to delete
Touch a file in the list to select it. A green tick will appear next to all selected files.
You can select all files in the list by touching the “ All ” in the upper-left corner of the screen.
Step 7. Touch DELETE
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen. All selected files will be deleted so that some storage space on your phone or tablet can be freed up.
