This wikiHow teaches you how to create an End world portal in the desktop, Pocket, and console versions of Minecraft. When playing in Survival mode, the End portal can only be accessed by finding it. Therefore, if you want to create an End portal, you need to be in Creative mode.

Double-click (or once for the Mac version) the Minecraft icon that looks like a block of dirt with grass on it, then click PLAY at the bottom of the Minecraft window that appears.
