This wikiHow teaches you how to move contact entries from a SIM card to an iPhone. The device will not save contacts to the SIM card so this method cannot be followed to move contacts from one iPhone to another (via card).
Step
Step 1. Make sure the old SIM card contains the contact entries
Check the card's storage space or the device manufacturer's documentation to see if the storage features are supported on the card.
iPhone does not store contact entries on the SIM card and can only import entries from the SIM card into the device's internal storage space
Step 2. Move the SIM card from the old phone to the iPhone
Insert a paper clip or other small wire into the hole on the side of the SIM card tray. The cross-section will open and you can insert the SIM card into it.
Step 3. Open the device settings menu (“Settings”)
This menu is marked by a gray gear icon which is usually displayed on one of the home screens.
The icon may be stored in the “Utilities” folder on one of the home screens
Step 4. Swipe the screen and touch Mail
This option is in the fifth set or group of choices.
Step 5. Touch Import SIM Contacts
Contact entries saved on the SIM card are copied to the device's Contacts application.
Step 6. Open the “Contacts” app
After the transfer process is complete, the contact entries of the SIM card will be displayed in the application.
