Skribbl.io is a fun online game that allows you to draw pictures and guess what other people have made. However, you can only join Skribbl's private rooms via the link. These spaces are useful if you only want to play with certain people. This wikiHow teaches you how to create your own personal space!
Step
Step 1. Visit https://skribbl.io/ via a web browser
You can use any web browser on a PC or Mac computer. Skribbl.io can be played directly through a web browser.
Step 2. Enter your name in the first column
Use the text field above the avatar image. You can use a nickname or real name.
Alternatively, you can leave the column blank. You will get a random name later
Step 3. Choose a language
Use the drop-down menu next to the name to select a language. After that, the language for the created private space will be set.
Step 4. Use the arrow keys in the top row to change the character's eye (optional)
The character in the center of the left window is the avatar used to represent you during the game. You can use the arrow keys on the left and right side of your avatar to customize your avatar. Use the arrow keys in the top row to change the eyes (optional). There are 31 eye options that you can choose from.
Alternatively, you can also click the dice icon in the top right corner to get a random avatar display
Step 5. Use the arrow keys in the middle row to change the character's mouth (optional)
In the middle row, the buttons on the left and right of the avatar change the appearance of the character's mouth. There are 24 mouth options available.
Step 6. Use the arrow keys in the bottom row to change the avatar color (optional)
In the middle row, the buttons on the left and right of the avatar function to change the character's color. There are 18 color options for you to choose from.
Step 7. Click on Create Private Room
It's a blue button at the bottom of the window. You will be taken to a private room where you can invite certain people (not a public room that can be accessed by anyone).
If the ad is showing, wait for the ad to finish before continuing
Step 8. Determine the number of rounds to be played
By default, the number of rounds selected is three. Use the drop-down menu at the top of the page to specify the number of rounds you want to play.
You can choose 2-10 rounds
Step 9. Select "Draw time in seconds"
This option determines the duration given to each player to draw. By default, the set duration is 80 seconds.
You can choose between 30-180 seconds
Step 10. Change the language if you haven't already
You can choose your mother tongue or any other language each player can speak.
Step 11. Enter special words
Special words are entries that you can draw when it's your turn to play. When typing a word, separate each entry with a comma. You must have a minimum of four words with a maximum of 30 characters.
If you only want to use custom words, click the checkbox below the column
Step 12. Click Copy next to the link
When you hover over the white bar at the bottom of the page, a link will be displayed. Click the yellow button labeled “ Copy ” to copy the link. You can send it to your friends to invite them to join.
Step 13. Share the link with friends
Just paste the link into the message to invite friends to join. You can paste it in emails, social media posts or web forums, or private messages. To paste the link, right-click the text field and select “ Paste You can invite up to 12 players in a private room.
- Your friend will be directed to the main lobby first. He must choose the name and appearance of the avatar before joining the private space. Once he is ready to play and modify his avatar, he must click the green button labeled “ Play ”.
- If the link doesn't take it to your private space, you can right-click on the link and select “ Copy ”, instead of clicking the yellow “Copy” button. If that doesn't work, type in the link manually.
Step 14. Click Start Game after everyone joins
The game will be unlocked and you can play as usual.
- The difference is that your character or avatar will have a crown because you are the one making the room.
- You need at least one other player in the room before you can start the game.
