Method 1 of 2: Downloading Repositories from GitHub on the Internet
Step 1. Visit the GitHub website
You can also type https://www.github.com into your browser's address bar.
Step 2. Locate the repository you want to download or clone
Step 3. Click the green Clone or Download button on the right side of the page
Step 4. Click the Download ZIP button
The repository will be downloaded to your computer as a ZIP file.
Method 2 of 2: Downloading Repository Via GitHub Desktop App
Step 1. Visit the GitHub website
You can also type https://www.github.com into your browser's address bar.
Step 2. Locate the repository you want to download or clone
Step 3. Click the green Clone or Download button on the right side of the page
Step 4. Click the Open in Desktop button
The GitHub desktop application will launch.
If this is your first time opening files in the GitHub application from your browser, you may be prompted to allow your computer to open files in the GitHub application
Step 5. Click the blue Clone button on the GitHub window
The repository will be downloaded to the computer afterwards.
