This wikiHow teaches you how to hide a friend's name from the “Best Friends” list on Snapchat. To hide it, you must block the friend in question first, then unblock it.

Part 1 of 2: Blocking Friends
Step 1. Open Snapchat
The Snapchat icon looks like a yellow box with a white ghost inside.
Step 2. Swipe down the screen
Snapchat will immediately display the camera window. Swipe down the window to display the Snapchat home screen.
Step 3. Touch My Friends
It's next to the notebook icon, at the bottom of the screen. Touch the icon to display the friends list.
Step 4. Touch the name of the good friend in question
The user profile card will be displayed afterwards.
Step 5. Touch the gear icon
It's in the top-right corner of the profile card.
Step 6. Touch Block
With this button, you can block the friend in question on Snapchat.
Step 7. Touch the Block button again
This button is purple. The user will be blocked after that.
Step 8. Select Other
Some of the options shown have serious consequences so it's a good idea to choose another option for this purpose. After that, the friend in question will be removed from your account's friends list.
Part 2 of 2: Unblocking Friends
Step 1. Touch the back button (“Back”)
It's in the top-left corner of the screen. You will be taken back to the Snapchat home screen.
Step 2. Touch the gear icon
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen. The settings menu or “Settings” will be opened.
Step 3. Swipe the screen and tap Blocked
This option is in the “ Account Actions ” under the menu. A list of all the friends or Snapchat users you blocked will be displayed.
Step 4. Touch the X button next to the friend's name
Find the name of the friend you previously blocked, then touch the button to unblock it.
Step 5. Touch Yes
This button is purple. Once touched, the blocking of the selected friend or user will be unblocked. The friend or user will no longer appear on the “Best Friends” list.
