School uniforms don't take you long to choose clothes, but they're not the right choice to look fashionable. There are so many ways to improve your appearance. So, don't be afraid to try something new every day. Don't forget that every school has its own rules. Your teacher may not agree with some of the suggestions listed here.

Part 1 of 2: Clothes
Step 1. Decide how you will wear the shirt
You may not be able to choose which shirt to wear, but there are several options you can make:
- If possible, don't tuck your shirt in to make it look more comfortable and casual.
- If your shirt has to be tucked in, pull it a bit to make it look looser so you stand out more (this tip is usually used for men's shirts).
- If your uniform has long sleeves, try buttoning the sleeves to make it stand out a bit.
- Try not to button the shirt all the way up. Check the school uniform rules first because many schools have strict rules for student uniforms.
Step 2. Put on another top
Most schools allow their students to wear a suit shirt or camis under the uniform. This will make you look more elegant and allow you to unbutton the top of the uniform for a more fashionable and comfortable look. If you want more cover, you can buy a uniform sweater or cardigan.
If your school doesn't have a uniform sweater, check the dress code to see what tops you can wear. If the rules only cover the overall color of the outfit, you can wear a button-down sweater that's flashy, embroidered, lacy, or otherwise embellished
Step 3. Choose shoes
Shoes are sometimes the least regulated piece of clothing, but again, check your school's dress code before shopping. Even if you have to wear black or white shoes, there are a variety of styles to choose from. Choose shoes that suit your style:
- Flat shoes are elegant.
- The calf-high boots are quite attractive.
- Sports shoes are comfortable and comfortable to wear during sports lessons.
- High heels are not suitable for school.
Step 4. Put on patterned socks
Socks are another piece of clothing that is rarely regulated. You may still be warned if you wear socks that are too flashy, but socks with neutral patterns and dark colors can add variety to your overall outfit.
Step 5. Decorate your clothes
Usually, you have to be wise when decorating the uniform itself. If the following were allowed at school, your uniform would look much cooler:
- The buttons are the same color, but are shaped differently.
- Patchwork
- Embroidery design
Step 6. Adjust your uniform to fit
If your school's dress code is very strict, this may be your only option. Take your uniform to a tailor and ask to be remade. Here are some ideas available:
- Raise the waist or sleeves of the uniform. If you are proud of your waist or bulky hands, slightly raise your waist and your uniform shirt.
- Loosen the shirt or skirt. This is especially helpful if your uniform is very tight, but it can also make you look more fashionable.
- Skirt hem. Don't hem your skirt any higher than the school dress code allows. Just fold it a little to make the hem of the skirt neater.
Part 2 of 2: Accessories and Add-ons
Step 1. Add accessories to the uniform
Students in uniform love to add to their personality using pins, stickers, or ribbons. This accessory is usually sewn to the collar, sweater (cardigan), or bag.
Step 2. Wear personal accessories
Your school may have a guide for this, but you can usually be quite creative. Here are some ideas available:
- Decorative buckle or buckle head
- Hair clips, bandanas or ribbons
- Watch
- An unobtrusive little trinket or two
- Tie or bow tie (if your uniform does not have a tie)
- Scarf, hat or gloves
Step 3. Choose your own equipment
If possible, choose your own bags, backpacks, lunch boxes, and other supplies that you will bring to school. Even an umbrella can make you look more fashionable.
Step 4. Try a new hairdo
Even schools with the most stringent regulations allow a variety of hairstyles, at least for the girls. Most schools allow students, both male and female, to style their hair as they please.
- For hair that is long enough to be parted, try different styles of parting.
- For long hair, try different braid styles.
- If you can color your hair, consider highlighting your hair a little.
Step 5. Don't be too small
If it is allowed to wear makeup, generally the makeup should not be too flashy. The following makeup is usually allowed, but check your school's dress code. These makeups are arranged from the least flashy to the most striking, so you can decide how far you want to go:
- A tinted moisturizer, concealer, or brightening foundation
- Mascara, use only thin
- Eyebrow pencil, only used to fill in empty spaces
- Clear nail polish
- Bright blush
- Bright or natural lipstick or lip polish
