This wikiHow teaches you how to browse and watch Netflix shows from any country you want on your Android device. The Netflix library is different for each country and you can use a third-party VPN (virtual private network) app to hide your device's IP address in order to view other countries' content libraries. Netflix can detect most free and paid VPN apps and then block or mask your connection, but the apps mentioned in this article are the most popular VPN services you can still use for Netflix. Although these apps require payment after the 7-day free trial period ends, you can cancel your membership at the end of the trial period and re-register for the trial period using a different email address.

Method 1 of 2: Using ExpressVPN
Step 1. Download and install the ExpressVPN app from the Play Store
This virtual private network (VPN) application can be downloaded for free. With a VPN, you can send and receive data, as if you were directly connected to the internet from another country.
Step 2. Open the ExpressVPN app on the Android device
The ExpressVPN icon looks like a red "∃" and "V" symbol above a white button, inside a red rectangle. You can find it on your device's page/app drawer.
Step 3. Tap Start Free Trial
It's a red button at the bottom of the page.
If you already have an ExpressVPN account, touch “ SIGN IN ” to log in to the account.
Step 4. Enter the email address
Tap the "Email address" field and type in your email address.
After the 7-day free trial expires, you can purchase a paid subscription to ExpressVPN, or cancel your membership and sign up again to try a new trial period with a different email address
Step 5. Tap Start Free Trial
It's a red button below the email field.
Step 6. Touch OK or No. Thanks.
In this section, you can select “ OK " if you want to send an error report (crash) and other VPN data automatically to ExpressVPN, or " No Thanks "if you don't want to.
ExpressVPN will use the submitted data for product development purposes
Step 7. Touch OK
With this option, you can set up a VPN connection.
Step 8. Touch OK on the pop-up window
With this option, the ExpressVPN app can create and set up a new VPN connection on the device.
Step 9. Touch the “Smart Location” country drop-down menu (optional)
If you want to select a more specific location, a list of all countries whose connections you have access to will be displayed.
Step 10. Select the country you want to use
Just touch the country option on the list to select it.

Step 11. Touch the power icon (“Power”) on the screen
When the device is not connected to the VPN, this button has a red circle around it. Touch the button to connect the device to the VPN and redirect your internet traffic to the selected country.
When the device is connected, the red circle around the button will turn green and you will see a "Connected" message below it
Step 12. Open Netflix
Once the device is connected to ExpressVPN, Netflix will automatically switch to the selected VPN country.
Method 2 of 2: Using NordVPN
Step 1. Download and install the NordVPN app from the Play Store
This virtual private network (VPN) application can be downloaded for free. With a VPN, you can send and receive data, as if you were directly connected to the internet from another country.
Step 2. Open the NordVPN app on the device
The NordVPN icon looks like a mountain in blue and white. You can find it on your device's page/app drawer.
Step 3. Touch SIGN UP
This blue button appears on the welcome page. You can start a free trial period on this page.
If you already have an account, touch “ LOG IN ”.
Step 4. Enter the account email address and password
Type an address into the "Email" field, and enter the new NordVPN account password in the "Password" field.
Step 5. Touch CREATE ACCOUNT
It's a blue button below the email address and password fields. A new account will be opened and all available subscription plans will be displayed.
Step 6. Tap START MY FREE 7-DAY TRIAL under the package
GooglePay payment information will be displayed as confirmation.
- If you do not cancel your membership/subscription before the end of the 7-day free trial period, you will automatically be charged for the selected subscription plan.
- If you don't want to pay a subscription fee, make sure you cancel your membership/subscription before the free trial period ends.
- After canceling your membership, you can re-register for a 7-day free trial using a different email address.
Step 7. Tap SUBSCRIBE at the bottom of the screen
It's a green button at the bottom of the GooglePay confirmation window. The selection will be confirmed and the free trial period will begin.
If prompted, enter your Google account password and touch “ VERIFY ”.
Step 8. Swipe the screen and select a country
You can see a list of all available countries at the bottom of the screen. Just touch the name of the country whose Netflix content you want to view.
Alternatively, you can tap a location on the map at the top of the screen
Step 9. Touch Continue on the pop-up window
The first time you connect your device to NordVPN, you will be prompted to create and set up a new VPN connection on the device. With this button, you can allow apps to access the device's VPN settings.
Step 10. Touch and tick the box
"I trust this application".
You must check this box in order to move on to the next step and set up a VPN connection.
Step 11. Touch OK on the pop-up window
With this option, you can allow NordVPN to access your device's VPN settings.
Step 12. Touch Continue
You will be asked to confirm the new VPN connection from NordVPN.
Step 13. Touch OK on the pop-up window
A new VPN connection will be created and set up, and internet traffic will be routed to the selected country.
Step 14. Open Netflix
Once the device is connected to the VPN, the Netflix library will automatically change to the library of the selected VPN country.
