Drawing a kitten is not as difficult as it looks. With practice and guidance, you can draw a wide variety of kittens, from adorable cartoon kittens to realistic sleeping kittens.
Step
Method 1 of 4: Draw Adorable Cartoon Kittens
Step 1. Draw the outline for the head and body of the pussy
Use a trapezoid shape with smooth corners as the head, then draw a cross or cross inside the shape. Draw a rectangle as the body. Keep in mind that kittens have a larger head than their body when compared to adult cats.
- The bars on the cat's head or face help you determine the position of the eyes, nose, and mouth. The midpoint of the bar is approximately in the center of the face.
- Keep in mind that the outline of the head should overlap with the outline of the cat's body. The top line of the cat's body shape should meet the horizontal line of the bar on the cat's face or head.
Step 2. Add the cat's ears and paws
Each paw is made up of a rounded triangle drawn on the bottom square of the cat's body. Keep in mind that the foot on the side that is "far" from you should be slightly smaller than the foot on the side that is "closer" to you.
Additionally, draw two large triangles in each of the top corners of the head. For a typical cartoon look, these triangles should be larger than the triangle you drew as the cat's paw
Step 3. Draw a rough outline for the cat's tail
You can draw a tail that is “wavy”, round, or sharply angled, depending on personal preference. Whatever you draw, make sure the cat's tail is curved at least at one point. Don't draw a completely erect tail.
Step 4. Draw the face of the pussy
Use the bar on the cat's head as a guide, draw two small circles for the eyes, and place each eye on each vertical side of the center of the bar (just above the horizontal line of the bar) evenly spaced.
Add the nose and mouth. Draw the cat's nose on a vertical line in the center of the face, slightly below the horizontal line of the bar. The shape of the cat's mouth is like a round "W" with the center attached to the bottom of the nose
Step 5. Darken the desired outline of the head and body on the outline you made earlier
You can also create thin curved lines to give the effect of a thick fur cat. Add three mustaches on each cheek of the pussy.
Step 6. Add the pattern to the cat's fur
Most cats have striped fur so you can add this detail if you like. Draw some triangular stripes on the back and tail of the cat.
Step 7. Erase the lines that you no longer need
This line includes overlapping lines and bars on the cat's face.
Step 8. Color the created image
You can use any color you want. Try using a light brown color for cat fur. If you're adding the strips as a feather pattern, color them in another shade of brown.
Method 2 of 4: Draw a Kitten Playing Ball
Step 1. Sketch the outline of the cat's body and head
Draw a circle as the head of the pussy with a cross inside, then make a rectangle with rounded corners as the body.
- Since the final image shows a kitten lying down, the top of its head needs to be slightly lower than the top of its body.
- Instead of drawing vertical bars or crosses, rotate the corners so that the bars look like an "X" meeting at the center of the circle.
- The cat's body is about twice the length of its head, but at the same height.
Step 2. Draw a circle in the center of the cat's body
This circle will be the ball the pussy plays with.
Keep in mind that the circle you make must be smaller than the cat's head
Step 3. Draw the outline of the rabbit's foot holding the ball
The complexity or complexity of the sketch made will depend on your taste.
For best results, draw the legs in two parts. The limbs on the “upper” body should be made longer, with the elongated oval attached to the ball and the rounder oval connecting the cat's paw to the body. Meanwhile, the limbs on the “lower” body (which stick to the ground or floor) have a similar pattern, but are smaller in size because they are not as clearly visible
Step 4. Draw the cat's ears and tail
The cat's ears are made up of two triangles at the top of the pussy's head and are flattened out to the side. For the tail, draw a long, curved oval at the bottom of the kitten's body.
Step 5. Draw the cat's face
Use the bars you created as a guide for drawing the cat's eyes, nose, and mouth. You can also add a mustache using long stripes.
- The cat's eyes should be on the horizontal line of the bar.
- Count the cat should be pressed against the center vertical line of the bar, with a “W” shaped mouth pressed against the bottom of the nose.
Step 6. Add fur to the cat's face
Draw fine, short strokes around the cat's face to make it look furry.
Step 7. Add fur to the cat's body
Draw the same fine, short strokes on the cat's body and tail.
Step 8. Add details to the cat's paws
When viewed from above, you will only see the straight lines that make up the legs. Meanwhile, on the cat's hind paws (when viewed from below), you can see the paws.
Darken the sketch of the ball that you have drawn
Step 9. Erase the lines you don't need
Clean up the image by removing unneeded lines from the sketch.
Step 10. Color the kitten image
You can color it as you wish. The color of the paws, nose, and eyes should be different from the color of the fur. You can also choose a different color for the ball.
Method 3 of 4: Draw a Realistic Sitting Kitten
Step 1. Draw a circle for the head and an oval for the cat's body
Make a cross or cross in the center of the circle as a guide for drawing the face.
- Keep in mind that its body size is only slightly larger than its head, and is tilted slightly away from the head.
- Make sure the point where the bars meet is near the center of the head.
Step 2. Make the face of the pussy
Draw two circles for the eyes and a half circle for the nose.
- Both cat's eyes should be positioned above the center horizontal line, and at the same distance from the vertical line.
- The nose should be in the center vertical line, under the eyes.
Step 3. Add the cat's mouth
Make a small circle covering the mouth and nose area. The circle should be under the eyes, covering the nose area, and going through the bottom of the cat's head circle.
Step 4. Draw lines for the elongated parts of the body
These parts include the cat's paws and tail. For the front legs, draw two slightly curved lines from the front of the body's oval shape (from three quarters of the body and extending downwards), in a direction away from the body.
- For the hind legs, draw two arrowhead shapes or lines attached to the bottom of the oval.
- For the tail, use a curved line that sticks out from the back of the oval.
Step 5. Draw circles as the cat's paws
The back of the paw should be in line with the cat's paw line.
Step 6. Connect the head to the cat's body
Draw two lines that curve inward on both sides of the head and connect them to both sides of the body to form the cat's neck.
Step 7. Draw the basic outline of the kitten
Draw thicker shapes around the outline of the legs and tail to fill in the legs. Add curved lines on the front of the feet to form the toes. Draw a “W” shape that connects to the bottom of the nose as the cat's mouth.
You can also "rough up" the outline of the overall kitten image with short, jagged strokes to create the impression of a fluffy, fluffy kitten
Step 8. Remove unneeded details from the draft or sketch
Add more details like feather lines and feather patterns if you want. This pattern includes stripes or other details.
Step 9. Color the kitten image
Use whatever color you want, but make sure the mouth area is a lighter color to make it stand out more. If you add strips or patterns to the feathers, color the strips or patterns in a different pattern.
Method 4 of 4: Draw a Realistic Sleeping Kitten
Step 1. Make a circle for the cat's head and an oval for the body
Place the two shapes close together and it will be better if the two shapes overlap each other. Draw a curved line connecting the body of the pussy to the head.
- Body shape is not so oval and only slightly larger than the head.
- The connecting line should reach around the top center of the cat's body and head.
Step 2. Draw a circle as the mouth area and a curved line as the cat's tail
For the mouth, make a small circle at the bottom of the head, slightly overlapping the oval shape of the cat's body. The tail is at the back of the oval of the body and should be drawn following the natural curve of the cat's body towards the face.
Step 3. Create cat ears
For the ears, draw a triangle that appears at the top of the cat's head. Since the pussy is sleeping, the bottom of the ear should be relatively flat (horizontally), while the top is pointing up, away from the body.
Keep in mind that the ears are roughly the same size as the mouth area on a cat's face
Step 4. Add the cat's eyes and nose
For the nose, use a small semi-circle at the end of the mouth area. For the eyes, use a short straight line that goes through the back of the mouth area and a small part of the face.
Since the pussy is sleeping, use stripes to reflect closed eyes, rather than circles to represent open eyes
Step 5. Draw a circle as a cat's thigh
Make a circle the size of the head circle and place it slightly away from the center of the body, but still overlapping or overlapping the oval of the cat's body.
The thigh loop just touches the bottom of the cat's mouth area
Step 6. Draw a basic outline for the cat's overall body
Expand and fill the tail. Darken the upper sides of the cat's thighs, as well as the lines that smooth out the joints between the body, head, and ears.
Step 7. Erase unneeded draft lines or sketches
Add more ear and fur outline details.
Try adding light triangular stripes or other patterns to the cat's fur
Step 8. Color the kitten image
Use colors as desired. Keep in mind that the nose should be a different color, including the upper ear because you will see the inside of the ear (not true for the lower ear because you will see the hairy part of the ear instead).
