The ceiling of your car, or what is called the car ceiling can become dirty because it comes into contact with our hands, hair, skin, and other objects that stick to the ceiling. Since the ceiling material is permanently attached to the car ceiling, you should use cleaning methods and products that don't damage the glue and laminate. Read this article to find out more about the correct method to clean car ceilings safely and efficiently.
Step
Step 1. Remove the dirt and dust adhering to the ceiling using a microfiber cloth
This cloth is made of a material that can lift and collect loose dust, dirt, and dust attached to the car ceiling.
Use a dry, clean microfiber cloth to wipe the car ceiling. Wipe in the direction of the ceiling cloth
Step 2. Purchase upholstery cleaner or shampoo to clean the ceiling
Upholstery cleaners should be suitable and safe to use for cleaning ceiling fabrics. For example, if the ceiling is made of vinyl, use a vinyl cleaner.
Visit a local retail store that specializes in auto parts and products for safe upholstery cleaners
Step 3. Spray upholstery cleaner all over the ceiling surface
Shampoo or upholstery cleaner will remove dust, dirt, and black dust that previously could not be removed using a microfiber cloth.
Step 4. Gently wipe the entire ceiling surface using a microfiber cloth
After the upholstery cleaner is absorbed into the ceiling cloth, the microfiber cloth will remove any remaining stains, dirt, loose dust and other black dust.
Step 5. Remove the grease staining the ceiling using a mixture of water and vinegar
A solution of water (3 parts) and vinegar (1 part) will remove oil stains without affecting the glue and laminate that attaches the fabric to the car ceiling.
Dip a microfiber cloth into the water and vinegar solution and then wipe off the oil with the cloth
Step 6. Wait for it to dry before using more upholstery cleaner
If your car's ceiling is still looking dirty after using the upholstery cleaner and you want to repeat it, make sure the cloth is completely dry before you use the upholstery cleaner again. This will prevent the ceiling fabric from falling off the ceiling.
Step 7. Spray a small amount of fragrance or citrus oil onto the car ceiling if the smell persists
This kind of product can help remove unpleasant odors such as the smell of cigarettes or the smell of food from the car ceiling.
Do not wet the ceiling fabric with fragrance because some fragrances contain chemicals that can eat up the adhesive material of the ceiling fabric

Warning
- Do not use harsh cleaning fluids or soaps for car ceilings. These products may contain harsh chemicals that can damage the glue and laminate that attaches the fabric to the car ceiling.
- If you bought a seat cleaner that isn't guaranteed quality, try using it for hidden interior parts of the car so that if the test fails, the stain won't be visible. This process will prevent you from staining the entire car ceiling if it turns out that the cleaner is not compatible with the ceiling fabric.
- Do not use a vacuum cleaning machine to clean the ceiling. Vacuum pressure can pull the ceiling cloth off the glue that sticks to the car ceiling.
- NEVER make the ceiling wet, when drying, water stains will appear that cannot be removed
