Spiritual warfare is an ongoing battle between good and evil, between God and Satan. Since this battle took place in the spirit realm, not in the physical realm, it was easy to overlook it. However, the consequences of this battle will have lasting consequences. To face spiritual warfare, you must understand what this battle means, what weapons or means of defense are available to you, and the forms of attack you must face.

Part 1 of 3: Understanding the Meaning of Spiritual Battle
Step 1. Shift your focus to spiritual matters
As the term is used, spiritual warfare basically takes place in the spirit realm. This battle may have repercussions in physical life, but if you don't understand how to solve this problem--which is rooted in the spirit realm--you won't be able to fight well.
- In Ephesians 6:12, the Apostle Paul said, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against governments, against powers, against the rulers of this dark world, against the evil spirits of the air." This verse defines spiritual warfare as warfare against forces that are not “of the flesh,” and this means that they are not physical or tangible forces.
- Since the spiritual realm and the physical realm are interconnected, things that happen in the physical realm will have spiritual consequences and vice versa. Your obedience to God in a worldly life, for example, will strengthen your spirit. Disobeying God's commandments in your life on earth will also weaken your spirit. As it is written in James 4:7, "Therefore submit to God, and resist the devil, and he will flee from you!" So first of all, you have to surrender to God in order to fight Satan.
Step 2. Rely on God's strength
You can only hope to win against the enemy only by the power of Allah. You can rely on God's strength if you will accept the salvation that Jesus Christ offers. Know also that every victory belongs to Allah.
- The next time you resist Satan, do so in the name of Jesus while relying on God's power to defeat evil. Even Michael, the leader of the angels, said "God will rebuke you!" when he quarreled with Satan over the dispute over who would receive Moses' body (Jude 1:9.) Even angels had to rely on God's name to repel evil, so it's no wonder that Christians have to rely on the name and power of Jesus Christ to do this. the.

- Acts 19:13-16 tells the story of the seven sons of Sceva, who used the name of Jesus to cast out evil spirits without having a deep relationship with Jesus. One day, this evil spirit counterattacked and tortured them because they relied on false beliefs to carry out the exorcism. They just use the name Jesus without really knowing Jesus.
Step 3. Let go of thoughts filled with pride
You have the power to fight the greater spiritual war, but this power is given to you through Jesus Christ. If you start to brag as if this power is your own, leave this arrogance behind before you go any further. Satan can use the sin of pride against you in spiritual warfare.
- You have to be humble in order to truly surrender to God. There's no way you can surrender to another's power and will if there is an aspect within you that believes that your own might be just as great. If these two powers can be compared to each other or equal, this means that neither of you is absolute.
- You must fully rely on God's strength to face spiritual warfare. Just forget the arrogance of your own strength. As the Bible says, "Don't rely on your own understanding. Remember the LORD in everything you do, and he will show you the right way to live" (Proverbs 3:5-6.)
Step 4. Demonstrate obedience and self-control
In the face of spiritual warfare, you must remain obedient to God in all things. Often times, you must exercise strong self-control to achieve high obedience.
- The Apostle Paul commanded the faithful to "be strong in the Lord" (Ephesians 6:10.) You should notice that the word used is "in," not "by." It is not enough to rely solely on God's power to give you victory in spiritual battles. Instead, you must forge a friendship with Jesus, battling with God's inclusion in the battle you must face. Obedience and self-control are needed to do this.
- You must obey God by keeping His commandments and resisting or freeing yourself from any power that could influence you to do things otherwise.
- Self-control requires you to free yourself from excess. You must maintain a spiritual balance by resisting the urge to indulge in bad or excessive things that spoil your spiritual life.
Step 5. Stay alert
In 1 Peter 5:8 it says, "Watch out and be on the alert! Your opponent, the devil, walks about like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." Know that an attack can come when you least expect it. You must stay alert on the spiritual battlefield, and you must always protect yourself from any possible attacks.
- Face this battle with sincerity. The enemy will always be ready to attack, so you must always be ready to defend yourself.
- When you wake up in the morning, take time to prepare yourself spiritually by praying and meditating. Ask God to help you every day by praying "Lord, I can't live this life alone, but with You, I can."
Part 2 of 3: Putting on the Whole Armor of God
Step 1. Know the meaning of the term “weapon of Allah
The notion of "weapon of God" refers to the metaphorical meaning of the spiritual armor that Christians must wear at all times to protect themselves from Satan.
- The full understanding of God's armor is explained in Ephesians 6:10-18.
- This chapter instructs you, “Put on the full suit of armor of God, that you may stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11.) Basically, arm yourself with the protection and weapons that are offered to you on the basis of your faith in Jesus Christ. will keep you strong and able to defend against the attacks of demons in the spirit realm.
Step 2. Put on the belt of righteousness
Ephesians 6:14 "stand fast, girded with the belt of truth."
- The opposite of truth is lies, and Satan is often referred to as "the father of all lies." Equipping yourself with a "belt of truth" means protecting yourself from the wiles of evil by holding fast to the truth. In the Bible, Jesus refuted Satan's temptations in the wilderness with the truth of Scripture. You can also do this; quote Scriptures to refute Satan's lies.
- In order to hold fast to the truth, you must try to find the truth in everything and tell the truth to everyone, including yourself. Never allow yourself to be deceived.
Step 3. Put on the armor of sincerity
The second part of Ephesians 6:14 mentions "the armor of sincerity."
- "Sincerity" refers to the absolute sincerity of the heart of Jesus Christ, not the sincerity of man who is not wholehearted and cannot be trusted.
- With faith, you must rely on the sincerity of Jesus' heart to protect your heart against spiritual attacks like armor that physically protects your heart during physical combat. If the devil tries to tell you that you are not sincere, quote the verse from Romans 3:22, "The righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe."
Step 4. Put on the shoes of the gospel of peace
Ephesians 6:15 instructs the faithful to "put your feet on their feet, willing to preach the gospel of peace."
- The words "gospel of peace" refer to the gospel or the good news of salvation.
- Preparing your footsteps with the gospel teaching of peace requires that you rely on the gospel during your journey into enemy territory. Your soul will be protected if you always move forward with the leading of the gospel. What the Scriptures say, "seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Matthew 6:33) also means spiritual protection from Satan.
Step 5. Grasp the shield of faith
In Ephesians 6:16, under all circumstances, you are also commanded to use "the shield of faith, for with it you will be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the evil one."
Faith is an absolutely essential thing you have when engaging in spiritual warfare. Just like a shield, faith can protect you from attacks unleashed by enemies. When Satan tries to tell lies about God, keep in mind what you believe that God is good and has good plans for you, etc
Step 6. Wear a safety helmet
In Ephesians 6:17 it says, "Receive the helmet of salvation."
- The salvation spoken of in this verse refers to the spiritual salvation that Jesus offered through His death and resurrection.
- The helmet of salvation can be interpreted as knowledge of spiritual salvation. Just as a helmet protects the head/brain, a safety helmet protects the mind from spiritual attacks and wrong views that can take your mind away from God.
Step 7. Take hold of the sword of the Spirit
The second part of Ephesians 6:18 commands that you take hold of "the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."
- The Sword of the Spirit is directly described in this verse as the Word of God, or Scripture.
- To obtain the sword of the Spirit, you must have an understanding of the Scriptures. Your knowledge of Scripture verses can be used as a rebuttal to spiritual attacks. Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword; it pierces to the dividing of soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it discerns the thoughts and thoughts of our hearts."
Step 8. Pray in the Spirit
The verses about God's full armor conclude in Ephesians 6:18, which says "Pray at all times in the Spirit and keep watch in your prayers with unceasing supplication for all the saints."
- Using these words to close the chapter on God's armor, the Apostle Paul emphasized the importance of relying on God for spiritual strength through the practice of vigorous and persistent prayer. The Bible teaches us to "pray without ceasing." Always pray in every situation in your life to ask Allah for protection and help.
- God's weapons are tools and protection that God gives to believers, but who rely on God's power is always.
Part 3 of 3: Fighting To Break The Enemy's Defenses
Step 1. Prepare for war, either by attacking or defending yourself
Warfare with attacks requires you to actively destroy the enemy strongholds that have ever been built in your mind. The war you face in self-defense requires you to protect yourself from impending attacks.
- The enemy's stronghold is a lie that once built in your mind. This stronghold becomes stronger through deception and accusations, making it more difficult for you to resist the power of temptation or catch Satan's lies.
- This fort will tend to become stronger or stronger when you are alone, so you must always actively work to destroy it with the spiritual weapons that God has given you. The smaller the fort is, the easier it will be for you to protect yourself from the next attack.
Step 2. Fight the gimmick
The enemy will use trickery to trick you into believing something that is not true and you will fall into error and sin.
- An often used example of this is when Satan tempted Eve into believing that there would be no harm if Eve ate the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden.
- Referring to the armor of God, you are already actively relying on the belt of truth and the sword of the Spirit if you are fighting against deceit. The belt of truth is your defense against deception, while the sword of the Spirit will enable you to resist it.
- In simpler terms, you must understand the truth in order to fight against deception. And in order to understand the truth, you must have a thorough understanding of the Scriptures.
Step 3. Overcome temptation
When the enemy is flirting, he will try to make something bad look good and attractive to attract you.
- Temptation will usually follow deceit. For example, Eve was tempted to eat the forbidden fruit after being tricked into thinking that her actions were justifiable. Something evil will look attractive to you only after you are tricked into thinking it can still be considered good.
- Facing temptation requires you to be able to resist Satan while drawing closer to God. These two things are very important and will happen naturally if you get used to them.
- Draw close to God through prayer, Bible study, obedience, and worship. As you get closer to God, you will turn away from evil so that the temptation will be less and less.
Step 4. Face the charges
The enemy will accuse the believer of using past mistakes and sins in order to bring someone down by making him feel ashamed and lost. The Bible names Satan as “the accuser of our brethren” (Revelation 12:10) so he will also try to accuse you of himself. Always remember the verse that says, "So now there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1.)
- Regarding the armor of God, one of the best defenses for you against accusation is the shield of faith. If the enemy attacks you using past failures as their ammunition, you must protect yourself completely from this attack by relying on your faith in Jesus Christ.
- You can also wear the armor of Jesus' sincerity to protect your heart and a safety helmet to protect your mind from these attacks.
