This wikiHow teaches you how to hide online status from contacts on Imo. IM. While this app no longer provides an "Invisible" status, you can temporarily block certain contacts to prevent them from seeing your status or sending messages.

Method 1 of 2: Using Mobile
Step 1. Open the Imo.im application
Step 2. Tap the Chats button at the top right corner of the screen
Step 3. Select the conversation with the person you want to block
Step 4. Tap the person's name in the top left corner of the screen, next to the back arrow
Step 5. Swipe the screen, then tap Block
Step 6. Tap Yes to confirm blocking
Now, the contact will no longer be able to see your online status.
- To unblock, tap the button ☰ in the lower left corner of the Imo screen, then select Settings > Blocked Contacts > Unblock.
- Repeat the steps above to block or unblock other contacts.
Method 2 of 2: Windows
Step 1. Open the Imo.im application on your Windows computer
If you want to block a specific contact from a Windows application, you must first remove the contact from the contact list. If you just want to temporarily hide your online status from him, try using your phone
Step 2. Click Chats
Step 3. Right-click the conversation with the person you want to block
Step 4. Click Remove from Contacts
Step 5. Tap Yes to confirm the deletion of the contact
Step 6. Click the conversation
You will see the message “This person is not in your contacts” at the top of the screen.
