This wikiHow teaches you how to tell if a Skype contact has blocked your account. Since Skype does not send notifications when you are blocked, you will need to find out yourself using the instructions in the user's profile in question.
Step
Step 1. Open Skype
Look for a blue icon with a white “S”.
- If you are using an Android phone or iPhone, touch the Skype icon displayed on the home screen or page/app drawer (Android).
- If you are using a Windows computer, you can find the Skype icon in the Windows menu.
- On a Mac, look for the Skype icon in the Dock or Launchpad.
Step 2. Sign in to your account
If prompted, enter your account login information, then click or touch the “ Sign In ”.
Step 3. Find the relevant user in the contact list
All contacts will be displayed on the left side of the screen.
If you see a gray question mark or an “x” to the left of the username, you have been blocked by that user. However, it can also signify that he just removed you from his contact list, and hasn't blocked you
Step 4. Click or touch the username
After that, the user's profile page will be displayed. Here are some of the signs that indicate that you have been blocked:
- If you see the message “This person has not shared their details with you” on their profile, it's possible that they have blocked you.
- If their profile photo changes to the main Skype icon instead of a regular photo, there's a good chance you've been blocked.
