By updating your graphics driver, you can resolve existing software problems and improve your experience as a computer user. Usually, you can update your free drivers through the automatic regular update feature or manually.

Method 1 of 3: Automatically Updating Graphics Drivers on Windows
Step 1. Click the “Start” menu button
Step 2. Type “update” into the search field and select “Windows Update” from the available options
The Control Panel program window will open.
Step 3. Click “Check for updates” on the left pane of the Control Panel window
A list of available updates will be displayed on the screen.
Step 4. Review the list of updates and look for updates for computer hardware, including graphics card
Step 5. Check the box next to the graphics driver that needs updating, then click “OK”
Step 6. Click the “Install updates” button
Windows will update the computer's graphics driver afterwards.
Method 2 of 3: Manually Updating Graphics Driver on Windows
Step 1. Click the “Start” menu button and select “Control Panel”
Step 2. Click “System and Security” and select “Device Manager”
Step 3. Review the list of available hardware categories for the name of the computer graphics card
Step 4. Double-click the graphics card name
Step 5. Click the “Driver” tab, then select “Update Driver”
Step 6. Follow the on-screen instructions to manually update the graphics driver
Method 3 of 3: Updating Graphics Drivers on Mac OS X
Step 1. Click the Apple menu and select “App Store”
If you are using an earlier version of Mac OS X, select “Software Update”
Step 2. Click “Updates” at the top of the “App Store” window
A list of all available updates will be displayed on the screen.
Step 3. Click “Update All” or select “Update” on the right side of “Software Update”
The computer will update the graphics driver as needed.
