This wikiHow teaches you how to set the time on a Baby G watch. You can set the time on both the digital and analog versions of the Baby G watch using the same process, although the extra features on each watch will vary depending on the model.
Step
Step 1. Get to know your watch's buttons
There are four main buttons there. The labels of the buttons may differ from those listed below, but they all function the same after the clock is entered into edit mode:
- Adjust (set) - Located in the upper left corner of the clock, and use it to enter the edit mode of the clock.
- Reverse - Located in the upper right corner of the watch, and works backwards by one value (e.g. time zone, hour number, etc.).
- Forward - Located in the lower right corner of the clock, and serves to advance by one value (eg time zone, hour number, etc.).
- Mode (mode) - Lower left corner of the watch. Use it to cycle through options on your watch.
Step 2. Press and hold the Adjust button for three seconds
It's in the upper-left corner of your watch. After three seconds, you will see one of the options on the watch face start flashing.
Step 3. Press the Mode button repeatedly until the Seconds number starts flashing
The "Mode" button is in the lower-left corner of your watch. You can continue when the seconds start to flash.
Step 4. Reset the seconds to the current time
Press the Reverse or Forward button in the upper or lower right corner until the number of seconds matches your current time (eg 30 seconds).
Step 5. Set the Minutes value (minutes)
Press the Mode button again to select the number that reflects the minute value.
Step 6. Change the minutes number to before the current time
To do this, press the Reverse or Forward button.
Setting the number to one minute before the current time allows the minutes to automatically sync when the seconds number reaches 60 again
Step 7. Set the " Hour " value
Press the "Mode" button again until the hour digits flash.
Step 8. Change the value of " Hour " to the current time
Press the "Reverse" or "Forward" button to change the hour digits to the current time (e.g.
Step 6.).
If your watch uses the 12-hour time format, make sure the AM and PM symbols (which distinguish between day and night) are correct in the numbers. Otherwise, you will need to cycle 12 times until the clock shows the correct current time
Step 9. Set blinking options
You can press the Mode button to browse other options available in the watch, and use the Reverse/Forward button to adjust it as needed:
- Time zone - This option usually appears at the top of the watch face. Keep in mind that the time zone will affect the current number of hours.
- DST - You can turn this option on and off if your watch supports it. This option allows you to reset the time based on daylight savings time (DST).
- 12H or 24H - This setting allows you to choose between 12-hour (AM and PM) and 24-hour (e.g. 09.00 or 18.00) format
- Light - The Baby G watch has a built-in display light, and you can set how long the light stays on.
- Date - Usually you can set the hour and day on the watch if your watch supports it.
Step 10. Press the Adjust button
This button will time the Baby G watch so that it matches the selected time.
- On some watch models, especially analog-digital clocks, you will need to hold down the Adjust button for a few seconds before the time is set.
- The hands of analog-digital models will automatically adjust to the digital time.
Tips
- The timing procedure on most Casio Baby G watches is more or less the same so these instructions should work on almost all Baby G models.
- Depending on the watch model, Casio may have a user guide available on the internet. Use the 4-digit number on the back of the watch, or the model number, to look up watch documentation online.
